VERSE
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
-- Isaiah 58:10
KJV Holy Bible

MEDITATION
Focus on sharing the love of Jesus with others. Doing so will bring you joy, peace, and contentment. Prioritize God's passion and let Him show you how to bring love and light to those in need. You'll find that your own challenges don't seem so high.

PRAYER
Lord, help me to share the love of Jesus with others. Fill me with your love so that it becomes my own. Guide me to rearrange my priorities and show me how to approach others in a way that reflects your will. In Jesus' name, Amen.

VERSE
Genesis 6:8 (KJV) But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

INSPIRATION
God bestowed his grace upon Noah and his wife, and his sons, and his sons' wives, and these 8 only were saved from the worldwide destrucion of the Great Flood. Having found grace, Noah walked with God (verse 9).

PRAYER
O Lord, let us find grace in your sight. Let us then walk in that grace wherein we stand. And even as Noah obeyed you and saved others in the ark he built, even so may you use us to help others find refuge in you. Amen

VERSE
Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

INSPIRATION
Are you tired of trying to overcome sin on your own? Are you worn out from trying to be perfect, in your own power? Have you tried to be righteous on your own and found yourself seriously wanting? Here is the good news: you don’t have to do this on your own. Jesus Christ paid the price for us, so that we could be saved from our sin, and so that we could also be partakers of the Father’s inheritance. The life of Christ is an unburdened life, filled with rest and blessed assurance.

PRAYER
Dear God, I thank you for the rest and peace I have in you as a result of what your son, Jesus Christ, did for me. Lord, I have struggled with my sin and I have grown weary from trying to be perfect on my own. Thank you, Father, for removing the burden from my shoulders and helping me overcome my struggles. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen

VERSE

2 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

INSPIRATION

For the most part, those spreading doctrines of devils and lies hatched by Satan do not openly reveal their true identity, and many do not even know they are being used as Satan's dupe. Satan tries to present his false doctrines as good in order to gain wider acceptance. Therefore, we cannot judge by appearances but must judge by the standard of revealed truth from God.

PRAYER

O Giver of truth, give us discernment through your Word and Spirit. Let us not fall prey to deceptions of Satan or his henchmen. Let us not be naive, but let us realize that wolves often cover themselves with sheepskins and Satan likes to disguise himself as an angel of light. We know you will save us from Satan's devices, for greater is he who is in us than he who is in the world. Amen

(VERSE)
Romans 8:19 (KJV) For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

(INSPIRATION)
Creation is currently in a fallen state, as a result of what happened at the beginning of time. It’s evident in the world around us. Nature is falling apart. Human beings are crying out to be saved. All creation awaits the day Christ will return and the sons of God will be revealed – all who believed in Christ. Creation will be restored on this day, too; set free from the consequences of man’s actions.

(PRAYER)
Dear God, I truly do rejoice when I think of what is to come. I do not fear the return of your son, Jesus Christ, but I eagerly look forward to the day because I know of what a glorious time this will be. The sons of God will be revealed and all creation will be restored. What a glorious day it will be. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

(VERSE)
Psalms 92:4 (KJV) For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

(INSPIRATION)
When you dwell on all that God has done in your life, you will find a great joy bubbling within you. Our lives are so full of God’s assurance and his faithfulness; we have so much we can fall back on in times where we feel weak. Take heart, and know that God is always there for you. Think of all He has done in your life and you will be filled with joy.

(PRAYER)
Dear God, I thank you for everything that You have done in my life. I am amazed when I think of Your everlasting goodness. Thank you, Father, for always watching out for me. I know that I can face anything in this life because I have the assurance that You are with me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

(VERSE)
Ezekiel 36:23 (KJV) And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

(INSPIRATION)
God is holy, His name is great, and He is good. At times, He is profaned by those who claim to follow Him but do not act in His will. They do evil and say it is His will when it is not. God will not let His name remain profaned. He will make unbelievers know that He is God and that He is good. Maybe you know someone who drags God’s name through the mud. That can be frustrating and even infuriating to watch. Take heart. God is mightier than them. He will make Himself known.

(PRAYER)
LORD, You are mighty and good. You will make Your character known. Show Your might to the nations. Make unbelievers tremble at the knowledge of You. Show them You are God. You have the power to do anything. Let Your will be done. Let men bow before You and know that You are God. I have heard of Your mighty works, and I have seen some of Your mighty works firsthand. Act mightily in Your creation. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

(((DEVOTION)))

((HEAR GOD'S VOICE))

(WE KNOW GOD'S GOODNESS AND HIS POWER, BUT WE OFTEN COMPLAIN AS WELL)

(VERSE)
Psalms 95:8-9 (KJV) Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.

(INSPIRATION)
The Israelites had escaped from Egypt thanks to God, who had charged Moses with the task of leading them across the Red Sea to freedom. Now they were complaining. They forgot how badly they had been treated, how they had been tortured, and remembered only that they had food to eat and water to drink. God had already sent the Manna for them to eat and now they wanted water. And so they went to Moses and complained that they had nothing to drink. God told Moses to strike the rock and water would pour forth. This place was called Meribah and Massah because they tested God and quarreled with him. Even though they had seen God’s power, they hardened their hearts. We have seen what God has done in our lives. We know God’s goodness and his power, but we often complain as well. “Okay, I got the job but I wanted more money and another week of vacation.” “I know I found a place to live, but it’s hard to carry the groceries up that flight of stairs.” “Yes, you answered my prayers, but not the way I wanted you to.” All God asks of us is gratitude. No matter what our circumstances are, we can’t seem to be content. I understand poverty, but I know that when I had barely enough to keep a roof over the heads of my family and food on the table, I knew that I was lucky. I had a job, my children could go to school, and I had food, even though it wasn’t always what they wanted. I knew that there were many who had much less and I was grateful. There are those who make so much money I can’t even begin to think how they spend it all, and yet they want more. Let us not be like the Israelites in the desert and harden our hearts, but be thankful for what we have.

(PRAYER)
Lord, you are a loving FATHER to us all and you give us what we need. You led the Israelites to freedom from slavery and you have sent your Son, Jesus Christ, to lead us to freedom from sin and death. May we not harden our hearts like the Israelites, but always be grateful of our blessings. Amen
