Theme: Whom Do We Truly Serve?

Scripture:

"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
— Colossians 3:23-24

Reflection:
In our daily lives, it is easy to become focused on the "men" we are trying to please: a demanding supervisor, a customer, a teacher, or even our own expectations of success. We often measure our value by the feedback we receive from the world around us.

However, Paul’s letter to the Colossians shifts our gaze. He reminds us that whether we are at a desk, in a kitchen, driving a vehicle, or caring for a family, our true audience is the Lord Christ. When we realize that our daily tasks—no matter how small or repetitive—are actually acts of service to the King of Kings, our perspective changes. We no longer work just to "get by," but we work "heartily" because our work is an expression of our love for Him.

Today, as you go about your responsibilities, remember that your effort is seen and valued by God. He is the one who gives the true inheritance. Your work is your worship.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the opportunity to serve You through my daily life. Help me to remember today that You are my true Master. Whatever my hands find to do, let me do it with joy and excellence, knowing that I am serving You. May my life be a living testimony of Your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Congregational Growth Tip:
Take a moment today to pause in the middle of a task and quietly say, "Lord, I do this for You." Observe how it changes your attitude toward the work and the people around you.

Maranatha Bible Church Afternoon Reflection 🌅📖

Scripture Reading:
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28 (ESV)

Reflection:
As the day begins to transition from the busyness of our midday tasks toward the quiet of the evening, it is a perfect moment to pause and recalibrate. For many of us, the morning may have been filled with commitments, meetings, and the weight of deep focus. In the midst of all we have accomplished (and all that remains to be done), we are reminded that our true rest is found in Christ.

Our productivity is a blessing, but our identity is rooted in being His children. Even in a productive season of building, we must learn the rhythm of Grace—working with all our hearts for the Lord, and then resting with full confidence in His provision.

Afternoon Encouragement:
Take a deep breath and offer up the work of your hands from today. Whether your day felt like a mountain of tasks or a series of steady steps, God was with you in every moment. As you finish your remaining work, do so with a heart of gratitude, knowing that He has already gone before you into tomorrow.

Prayer Focus:
Father, we thank You for the strength You provided to navigate this day’s commitments. As we move into the afternoon and evening hours, we ask for Your peace to settle over our hearts. May our rest tonight be as productive for Your Kingdom as our labor was today. In the Name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Maranatha Daily Devotion ⛪✨
Date: Monday, March 2, 2026
Theme: Strength for the New Week: Anchored in His Word

Scripture:
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." — Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV)

Message:
Happy New Week, Church Family! As we step into this first Monday of March, many of us are carrying lists of things to do, goals to achieve, and perhaps burdens to resolve. It is easy to feel overwhelmed by the "how" and the "when" of our lives.

However, God's Word reminds us that our stability does not come from our circumstances, but from the faithfulness of the One who called us. Just as we learned that "Divine direction does not guarantee a smooth road," we must remember that a strong foundation in Christ prevents doubt from taking root when the storms of life arise.

Let us start this week by choosing to "hold fast." Do not let go of your hope. If God has spoken a promise over your life, your family, or your career, trust that He is working behind the scenes. He is not a man that He should lie.

Prayer Focus:
Today, ask God for the grace to stay steady. Pray for a heart that rests in His promises even when the road seems steep. May your foundation in Christ be your greatest strength today!

Reflection Question:
Which specific promise of God will you choose to stand on this week?

THE TORN VEIL: OUR BOLD ACCESS TO THE FATHER đź“–

Today at Maranatha Bible Church, we were deeply blessed by a powerful message from Bishop Cosmas K. Mwananshiku, grounding us in the profound truths of Hebrews 10:19-21.

The Shield of Joseph and the Law

Bishop Mwananshiku reminded us that Jesus was born "under the law" (Galatians 4:4). We often overlook the critical role of Joseph. In a time where conceiving outside of marriage carried the penalty of death, God spoke to Joseph to protect Mary. By accepting his role as Jesus' earthly father according to the law, Joseph shielded Mary from being stoned and protected the Messiah’s entry into the world. What seemed to some as a simple family dynamic was actually God’s divine providence at work.

The Veil is Torn Apart
The heart of the message took us into the Tabernacle. For generations, a thick veil blocked the way into the Holy of Holies—the very presence of God. But the Bishop taught us a glorious truth:

"Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh..." — Hebrews 10:19-20

Just as the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom at the moment of His death, the Body of Jesus was broken for us. His broken body became the "New and Living Way." The barrier is gone!

Our Great High Priest
We no longer stand at a distance. Because the veil (His flesh) was torn, we now have direct access to the Father. We do not go through an earthly system, for we have one Great High Priest over the house of God—Jesus Christ Himself.

Today, we walk in boldness. We walk in grace. We walk in the finished work of the Cross.

Reflection: Are you making use of the access Jesus died to give you? Draw near to Him today!

Maranatha Bible Church

"For no matter how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ. And so through him the 'Amen' is spoken by us to the glory of God." — 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV)

Whether you are running a business, serving in your workplace, or currently waiting on God for your next breakthrough, His Word remains the only foundation that never fails. Our circumstances may change—positions may shift and economies may fluctuate—but the Promises of God are spiritual certainties for every believer.

His Promises for Every Season:

1. The Promise of Comfort: "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you." — John 14:18 (You are never alone, no matter your current status.)

2. The Promise of Provision: "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 4:19 (Whether for your family, your business, or your future.)

3. The Promise of Wisdom: "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all..." — James 1:5 (For the next interview, the next contract, or the next life decision.)

4. The Promise of Strength: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles..." — Isaiah 40:31 (Strength for the grind and strength for the wait.)

5. The Promise of Peace: "I leave with you; my peace I give you... Do not let your hearts be troubled." — John 14:27

Reflection for the Day:

Your value is not defined by your job title or your bank balance, but by your identity as a child of God. He is a Father who does not leave His children orphaned. Today, stand on His 'Yes' and 'Amen.'

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness to every member of this church. Whether we are working, building, or waiting, we trust that You are our Provider and our constant Companion. We choose to stand on Your promises today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

📖 Today’s Devotion: Maranatha Bible Church
Date: Thursday, 26th February 2026
2026 Theme: "Standing on the Promises of God"
Scripture: Luke 8:15 (NIV)

"But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop."

Reflection
Our theme for this year, "Standing on the Promises of God," requires more than just a horizontal knowledge of what God has said; it requires a vertical rooting of His Word in our hearts.

In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus explains that the "Seed" is the Word of God—which is the very container of His promises. If we are to "stand" on these promises, we must ensure our heart is the "good soil" that can support them.

Retention is the Foundation: To stand on a promise, you must first "retain" it (Luke 8:15). A heart like "the path" cannot stand because it lets the promise be snatched away.

Perseverance is the Strength: Jesus mentions that the good soil produces a crop "by persevering." Often, standing on a promise involves a season of waiting. The "rocky ground" fails because it has no root to sustain the stand during trials.

Focus is the Requirement: The "thorns" represent the worries of this life. We cannot stand firmly on God's promises if we are also trying to stand on the shifting sands of worldly anxiety.

In Luke 4, we see Jesus literally "Standing on the Promises." When tempted by the devil, He didn't argue with logic; He stood on the written Word ("It is written..."). His heart was the ultimate "Good Soil," and because He retained the Word, He could not be moved.

Prayer
Lord, we thank You for Your unwavering promises. This year, as we commit to standing on what You have spoken, help us to cultivate hearts of "Good Soil." Give us the grace to retain Your Word and the strength to persevere through every season. We refuse to let the worries of this life choke out Your promises. We stand firm on Your Word today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Thought For The Day: You cannot stand on a promise that you haven't first planted deep in your heart. Cultivate the soil, and the promise will support your stand.

CALLED TO MACEDONIA, BUT LED TO A PRISON? Acts 16

In our mid-week service today, Brother Sam Mwananshiku shared a powerful reminder from the life of the Apostle Paul. Paul received a clear vision to go to Macedonia—a divine call to a specific destination. But on that road, he and Silas faced arrest, beating, and imprisonment.

The Lesson: A divine "Yes" from God doesn't mean the road will be smooth.

If your foundation is not firmly rooted in the Word, you might mistake a "challenge" for a "wrong turn." When trials come, we don't doubt the Call; we stand firmer on the Promise. Our faith isn't built on the ease of the journey, but on the faithfulness of the One who called us.

Don't let the "prison" make you forget the "vision." Keep standing!

Unshakable Foundation: Standing in His Promises 📖✨

"For no matter how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ. And so through him the 'Amen' is spoken by us to the glory of God." — 2 Corinthians 1:20

As we navigate this year under our theme, "Standing in the Promises of God," let us remember that His Word is the only ground that never shifts. When the world feels uncertain, His promises remain certain.

Whatever you are facing today, find your footing in the truth of Scripture. God is not a man that He should lie; what He has said, He will do.
