*1Sa 30:6* David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God._

The scripture above teaches us that trusting men is costly. It can cost one's life. David celebrated with them and cried with them but they saw it fit to stone him. There are people in life who want to see you not making it in life no matter how long you have been with them, in business and in ministry. The people who thought of stoning David were those who were too close to him, people who spent time with him. People can change, people can turn into monitoring agents of your life, people can turn against you but there is a God who never fails. He is a faithful God. He is the present help in times of trouble. David strengthened himself in the Lord. In everything that David went through he still turned to God. Look up to God and God will come through for you. Learn to trust God dispite of what is happening around you.
