Sunday Corporate Worship Service | 12/0/ 2026
Be a Faithful Member of Christ’s Body
Text: Ephesians 4:1-4, 1 Peter 4:10-11
Introduction
The church is not just a building we attend; it is a body we belong to. When God saves us, He places us into a family, the Body of Christ. Every member has a responsibility, a calling, and a part to play.
Five Ways You Can Be a Faithful Member
1. By Faithfully Playing Your Part
Commit to Accountability: We walk together, encourage one another, and answer to God for how we live.
Support Church Leadership: God establishes leaders to shepherd His people; when they are supported through prayer and respect, the church grows strong.
Support the Church Financially: Giving through tithes and offerings is an act of worship and gratitude that ensures the ministry continues.
2. By Sustaining the Unity of the Church
Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3).
Unity is sustained by acting in love and refusing to engage in gossip, which weakens the body.
3. By Sharing the Ministry of the Church
Every believer is called to ministry. Discover and use your gifts and talents to serve others (1 Peter 4:10).
Allow yourself to be equipped by church leaders so the church may grow and mature.
Develop a servant-hearted attitude, following the example of Christ.
4. By Supporting the Testimony of the Church
The reputation of the church is reflected in the lives of its members.
Support the church's testimony by living a godly life and maintaining faithful participation in church life.
5. By Serving the Mission of the Church
Serve by praying for others and welcoming them into the church family.
Share the Good News of Jesus Christ boldly and lovingly.
Conclusion
This is not just a list of duties—it is a covenant of love, faithfulness, and mission. When each member plays their part, the church becomes strong, united, and effective in reaching the community
