Hello leaders , Pathfinders & Parents !.❤🔥📌
We want to take a moment to speak about something we practice every parade and drill session, because it matters more than many realize.
Drills are not just marching.
They are training.
Every command, every turn, every time we stand at attention, we are shaping more than posture. We are shaping character.
Drills build discipline
Discipline means responding with order and obedience even when no one is watching. In drills, we learn to listen carefully, act promptly, and move as one body. That same discipline carries into Sabbath School, schoolwork, home, and personal walk with God. A Pathfinder who learns to control their body in formation is learning to control their life outside of it.
Drills build unity and respect
No one moves alone in a drill squad. We learn to depend on each other, to match pace, to respect the leader, and to respect each other. That’s the spirit of Christ’s body - “joined and knit together” Eph. 4:16. When our Pathfinders stand in line as one, they are practicing unity that the church needs.
Drills prepare for service
The Army of the Lord needs soldiers who are disciplined, alert, and ready. Drill teaches alertness, attention to detail, and the habit of excellence in small things. Luke 16:10 reminds us, “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much.”
