Forty Days Of Convincing Proofs That Jesus Is Risen.
Title : He Appeared At The Sea Of Galilee----Breakfast With The Restorer.
" But when the morning had come, Jesus stood on the shore: yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Then Jesus Said to them," Children, have you any food?" They answered Him; "No." And He said to them, " Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some."---- John 21:4-6
It was morning, The disciples, weary from a night of fruitless fishing, had returned to their former profession. Perhaps they were still processing the resurrection. Perhaps they felt uncertain about their next steps. Peter, still carrying the weight of his denial had gone back to familiar ---- casting nets into the sea.
But the Risen Jesus came looking for them ---not in the temple, not in a synagogue --- but on the sea shores of their ordinary lives.
He Comes Where we Are
Jesus didn't wait for His disciples to come looking for Him, He met them at the shoreline of their labour. They were fishing --- unsuccessfully -- and Jesus entered the scene with both instruction and invitation.
" Children, have you have any food?"---- A tender question, not to shame them, but to position them for divine supply. Sometimes God allows us to come to the end of our own efforts before revealing the abundance He has prepared.
Jesus Cares About Your Welfare
This moment is profound the resurrected Christ cared not only about their calling, but their hunger, their livelihood, their welfare. He had already prepared breakfast on the shore --- fish and bread on hot coals . Our Saviour isn't just concerned with heavenly things. He is involved in our early needs.
A Familiar Fire, A Healing Grace
After breakfast, Jesus turned to Peter -- calling him not " Peter," but " Simon, son of Jonah '---- reminding him of his humanity, his frailty, his past. Then He asked the same piercing question three times.
Do you love Me?"
Each time Peter answered, Yes, Lord, You know I love you." And each time Jesus responded with a call: " Feed My sheep."
Why three times? Because Peter had denied Him three times. Jesus was not condemning --- He was restoring. Each affirmation erased a denial. Each question re-established his calling.
This wasn't just breakfast --- it was a moment of inner inner healing. Jesus was turning Peter's failure into foundation.
The Journey from Simon to Peter
" Simon" means a reed --- easily bent, unstable. But " Peter" means a rock. That morning, Jesus was helping the reed become a rock again.
Through this personal encounter and the upcoming baptistim of the Holy Spirit, Peter would become the pillar of the early Church.
" We are living stones, being built into a spiritual house." ----- 1 Peter 2:5
Peter knew this intimately ---- because Jesus had rebuilt him
Resurrection Reflection
β’ Have you gone back to old patterns because of discouragement or failure?
β’ Do you believe Jesus wants to restore your identity, not just your ministry?
β’ Will you allow Him to sit with you by your fire, feed you and heal your heart?
Prayer Of Encounter
Jesus, my Restorer, meet me again by the shores of my life:
Where I have laboured in vain , speak Your word of direction.
Where I have failed You, speak words of restoration. Heal my heart. Feed my soul. And re-establish me in my calling. I say again ---- Yes , Lord. You know I love You. Use my life to feed others. In Jesus name. Amen.
