Graced/Blessed Differently to Impact the Body of Christ
Romans 12:3–8
1. Each Believer Is Graced Differently
Each one of us has been graced differently according to God's sovereign will. One person's measure of grace is not to be compared with another's. Therefore, we should never envy others, but rather give thanks to God for the grace He has bestowed upon each of us.
Today, we witness many struggles within the Church and even in families because many fail to walk worthy of the calling and gifting God has entrusted to them.
God has gifted and graced His people differently for the advancement of His mission in the world.
2. Be Faithful Where God Has Placed You
It is not by chance that God has placed us where we are. Since our position is ordained by His providence, we are to faithfully manifest His grace through the stewardship of the gifts He has entrusted to us.
While we are here, let us diligently use the gifts God has given us for His glory.
On the Day of Judgment, we shall give an account of how we have used the abilities and gifts entrusted to us.
3. Serve According to the Grace Given
Let us wholeheartedly use the unique abilities, grace, and gifting God has given us, remembering that it is He who has distributed them according to His wisdom.
At times, we become our own enemies by looking down on ourselves or by comparing ourselves with those who appear to exercise their gifts more effectively.
Rather than comparing ourselves with others, let us labour with zeal in the sphere of service God has appointed for us.
Know the area in which God has gifted you, and faithfully serve Him in that calling.
4. Faithful Stewardship
Scripture: Matthew 25:14–30
God has gifted His people differently and expects each one to faithfully steward those gifts for the benefit of His Kingdom and the glory of His name.
King Hezekiah appealed to the Lord on the basis of a life lived in faithful obedience, and God graciously extended his years (Isaiah 38:1–5). While our salvation rests entirely upon God's grace through Christ and not upon our works, our works do bear witness to the sincerity of our faith and our faithfulness as stewards.
