JUNE 2026
NKRUMAH UNIVERSITY AFSF
NEWS AND REPORT
On Saturday, 6th June 2026, the Nkrumah University AFSF held its End of Academic Year Party at the KNU Home Economics Hall. The event was attended by about 22 people and was organized to celebrate the end of the academic year and recognize members who are completing their studies and leaving the university.
Those who attended included Dr. Kabungo, the Fellowship Patron, who has been supporting the fellowship, and Blessings M., President of the Nkrumah University Union, who is also an active member of various fellowships.
Also present were Br. Herbert, the Central Province Youth Leader, his son Luyando, Kabwe Main youths, and several students who have been supporting and taking part in fellowship activities over the years.
One of the highlights of the event was a talk by Br. Herbert K. on "Standing Firm in the World of Compromise: Godly Convictions on Campus." He encouraged students to remain faithful to God's principles while at university.
Dr. Kabungo also gave a talk on mental health issues that affect academic success, sharing important information and encouragement with the students.
LEADERSHIP CHANGE
Sr. Sile, who has been serving as Chairperson of AFSF, is among the students who are completing their studies this year.
The fellowship is pleased to announce that Br. Elijah Mwananduba will take up the role of Chairperson when the new academic year begins around September 2026.
Members are encouraged to pray for both brethren during this period of change.
The event also provided an opportunity to appreciate the efforts of all members who have served and supported the fellowship throughout the academic year. The Chairperson thanked all the members, guests, and supporters for their contributions, commitment, and continued support towards the growth of the fellowship.
The celebration ended with food, fellowship, and cake cutting.
May God bless everyone for every visible and invisible effort made in His vineyard. God shall reward you openly.
"For we are labourers together with God."
