HONOURING REV. Charles Phiri — FAMILY OF FAITH MINISTRIES
Reverend Charles Phiri, I would like to take this opportunity to honour and appreciate you for the role you played in my life and ministry when I was still a young believer.
There are things I can never forget.
1. You taught me how to fast.
My first experience of fasting was through your teaching and guidance. You introduced me to the discipline of seeking God through prayer and fasting, and that foundation has continued to help me in my walk with God.
2. You taught me how to carry myself as a young believer.
You taught me how to dress, conduct myself, and represent Christ as a young person. Those lessons helped shape my character and understanding of Christian values.
3. You demonstrated genuine dedication to God.
I have watched your dedication to the work of God and the love you have for people. You have a good heart, and you and your wife have been generous and willing to give to God's work. Your life has been an example to me.
4. You gave me opportunities when I was still young.
You gave me opportunities to teach, to play the keyboard, to host overnight prayers, and even to serve as a Deacon in the ministry while I was still young.
Those opportunities meant more to me than perhaps you realized at the time. You saw something in me and gave me a platform to serve and grow.
Today, when I look back, I realize that some of the things God is doing through my life today were seeds that were planted many years ago.
Thank you, Sir, for believing in me when I was young. Thank you for giving me opportunities to serve. Thank you for correcting me, teaching me, and helping me understand what it means to serve God.
I have now been in Shalom Embassy Ministry for about 10 years, and by the grace of God, I am now serving as a pastor. God has continued to help me through my spiritual father, Prophet Lazarus Zulu, and I remain grateful for the journey God has taken me through.
But today, I want to publicly acknowledge one of the people God used in my early years to shape my foundation.
Rev. Charles Phiri, thank you.
What you invested in me did not die. The teachings, opportunities, corrections, and example you gave me became part of my foundation.
May God continue to strengthen you, increase His grace upon your life, bless you and your wife, and reward you for every seed you have sown into the lives of young people.
I honour you, Sir. I appreciate you. And I will never forget where some of my foundations were laid.
May God continue to use you to raise many more young people for His kingdom.
