If you are a minister of the gospel,I urge you to take some time to go through this write up patiently.
*Dear minister* ,
There are many fancy and modernized terminologies that you'll encounter but today I want us to examine one of them " *You need to pay the price* ".As fancy and attractive this statement may seem it's not consistent with the finished works of Christ.
Apostle Paul puts it this way;
See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception [pseudo-intellectual babble], according to the tradition [and musings] of mere men, following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following [the truthβthe teachings of] Christ.
Colossians 2:8 AMP
The Apostle is saying *be careful (aware)* , it's actually enticing to use these terms because to some you'll sound deep but there's no depth in what is not consistent with the finished works(Truth).
*You need to pay the price* for you to start seeing power, healing etc in your ministry.
*Let's examine this statement*(paying the price)
When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, β *It is finished* !β And He bowed His head and [voluntarily] gave up His spirit.
John 19:30 AMP
One of the synonyms of the Greek word for *it is finished* means *paid in full* or at times it actually means *over paid*.
*Dear minister*
If Jesus paid in full, which balance are you paying?
This is the main reason Apostle Paul is telling the church in collosae to be aware of what Christ has accomplished lest they will be deceived with the philosophies of men.
*Dear minister*
I would love to submit to you that Christ has *paid it all* and you don't need to pay for anything (even if you wanted you can't pay for anything because you are in bankruptcy).
This is what you need to do instead ;
that the sharing of your faith may become effective *by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus* .
Philemon 1:6 NKJV
Just *acknowledge* (have accurate,precise and absolute knowledge) of every thing which is *already* in you in Christ Jesus.
*Dear minister*
I submit to you that Jesus has done it all ,just acknowledge every good thing in you in Christ Jesus.
Your brother in Christ
Nkisu Sondoyi.
