But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? DEVOTION
I start my day with prayer, thanking God for His love and generosity. I remember how as a child I'd put a coin in a gumball machine and get a treat. I realize now that God is so much more than that! I thank Him for all He's done and my "please prayers" come from a place of trust and gratitude.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, help us to remain close to You, not only when we need something, but always. Let us express our trust and gratitude for all You do for us. Amen.

DEVOTION
We must take action to be free. We must obey God's instructions and follow the Holy Spirit's guidance. We must put God's Word into practice, not just hear or read it. We have the power to reject sin and pray for courage to take the freedom that Jesus died to give us. Dare to take it and rejoice in all that God has given us through Jesus.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious gift of freedom You have bestowed upon us. We choose to use this freedom to do what is right and to follow the guidance of Your Holy Spirit. Give us the courage and strength to reject sin and to live according to Your will. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

DEVOTION
In times of fear and uncertainty, God's promise to Joshua is also for us: "I will never leave you nor forsake you." As I read my morning devotions, I was reminded of this truth. It gave me strength and courage to face the unknown. I was reminded that God is watching over me and that I can rest in His safety. He will never abandon me. So, I can relax and do what I must, knowing I'm not alone.

PRAYER
Lord, help us to remember that you are always with us, even in these difficult times. Take away our fear and replace it with faith in you. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

DEVOTION
Exhausted and overwhelmed, I wanted to leave. Then I remembered Jesus was with me. I prayed and cast my cares on Him, remembering 1 Peter 5:7. He still offers us rest. He's the same today as He was then.

PRAYER
I am so grateful, Lord, for the way You have taken my worries and burdens upon Yourself. You have given me the strength to face each day with courage and hope. I thank You for being my constant companion and for always being there to carry my cares.
