We’re so excited to invite you to our second edition of OASIS —brought to you by the kindness of Jesus as well as Sisters in collaboration with Christ Connect ZM. This program is open to both brothers and sisters. Please fill in the form to secure your attendance.

📍Location: Le Elementos Hotel

📌Theme: Who Raised You? Confronting Individual and Generational Brokenness in Christ.

OASIS is a series of informal and periodic Christ-centred gatherings where the sexes are invited to dialogue on polarising or relevant issues with the aim of establishing Christian unity, scriptural alignment, and a worldview cognisant of eternity.

The main objective of these gatherings is to foster Godly healing between the genders while strengthening our bond of unity as we launch out into the world. OASIS offers safe and unifying conversations that foster healing, a sense of solidarity/unified purpose in Christ, as well as Bible-literate living.

🌊HOUSE RULES:

1.⁠ ⁠Attendees must identify as Christian
2.⁠ ⁠Attendees must maintain respectful and gracious conduct in our time of Christ-centred dialogue. Foul or offensive language is not permitted.
3.⁠ ⁠Attendees must remain mindful and respectful that this is a Bible-believing project that upholds the Word of God as the final authority.
4.⁠ ⁠Use of phones to record audio, video, or take pictures during the program is strictly prohibited.
5.⁠ ⁠Attendees must be above the age of 18.
6.⁠ ⁠Attendees must adhere to House Rules.

The Truth (📖) About Comparison

“For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.” —2 Corinthians 10:12

Comparison is one of the easiest ways to lose sight of what God is doing in your own life.

At its core, comparison comes from measuring our worth through someone else’s journey. We begin to believe that another person’s blessing is evidence of our lack, or that their timing says something about ours.

However, Scripture reminds us that God’s work in each person is deeply personal. He does not create identical callings, seasons, gifts, or assignments.

Comparison can make us celebrate people less because their success reminds us of what we desire. It can also make us despise ourselves because we are focusing on what we do not have.

The danger is that comparison often disguises itself as motivation. We convince ourselves that constantly looking sideways will push us forward. But many times, it simply steals our gratitude and peace.

It is important to remember that God is not writing one story with many characters competing for the same role. He is writing many stories, each with purpose.

Someone else’s opportunity does not cancel yours. Someone else’s beauty does not reduce yours. Someone else’s progress does not mean you are behind.

The question is not “Why am I not where they are?” but “Am I faithfully stewarding where God has placed me?”

Can you celebrate what God is doing in others without questioning what He is doing in you? Are you becoming who God called you to be, or are you trying to become someone else?

Remember to Become. ❤️

The Lord Jesus Christ lived (historical fact), died (historical fact) and resurrected again (the decisive factor in our faith).

We must believe that He rose again. Without a true awareness of this fact we cannot live a truly Christian Life. Many things in our practice of faith would be affected with timidities, anxieties, and questions that evaporate (albeit slowly sometimes) when we sit with the truth of His resurrection.

It’s not enough to only remember this today (alone), we need to remember this daily. This is the source of our strength, power in the world, and hope. A sister or brother who constantly thinks about the resurrection cannot easily fear the troubles of this life or be beaten down by anxiety.

Today, take a moment to think about the resurrection carefully. What are its implications for the life you are living today and the beautiful life you could be living in Him?

Thank you Jesus for hope. ❤️
