I joined the TAKUZA… and found my voice. ✨

In this inspiring story, one of our youth volunteers shares how being part of the network transformed her passion into purpose. What started as a desire to make a difference has grown into a commitment to stand up, speak out and take action in the fight against human trafficking.

Her journey is a reminder that young people are powerful agents of change and that every voice matters in building safer communities.

✝️On this Easter Sunday, we celebrate the Resurrection a message of hope, renewal and new life.

Christ’s victory over suffering and death reminds us that darkness does not have the final word. For those affected by human trafficking, Easter is a call to restore dignity, bring freedom and renew hope.

May this season inspire us to continue standing for justice, protecting the vulnerable and creating pathways of safety and opportunity for all.

Hope is alive. Let us be instruments of that hope.

On this Good Friday, we reflect on the suffering, sacrifice and love of Our Jesus Christ on the cross.

In His Passion, we see the pain of the vulnerable, the oppressed and those whose dignity is stripped away, including victims of human trafficking and those forced into unsafe migration.

May the cross strengthen our commitment to defend human dignity and bring hope where there is suffering.

🌿 Holy Week Prayer

As we journey through this sacred week, we walk with Christ in His suffering, sacrifice and love.

Lord,
In Your Passion, we see the suffering of the vulnerable and the oppressed. Strengthen our hearts so we do not turn away, but instead respond with compassion, courage and action.

Guide our mission to protect, to advocate and to create safe pathways for all who journey in search of dignity and hope.

May we be instruments of Your justice, standing with the broken and giving voice to those unheard.

As we await the hope of the Resurrection, renew in us a deeper commitment to defend human dignity in all its forms.
Amen. 🤍

🚨 Understanding Human Trafficking: Know the Signs

Human trafficking takes many forms and often, it’s hidden in what first looks like kindness.

Debt Bo***ge a form of exploitation where traffickers may first offer to “𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩” by paying for bus or flight tickets, food, accommodation, upkeep or even giving gifts. What seems free at first later becomes a trap, as victims are told they now “𝐨𝐰𝐞 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐭” and are forced into exploitative situations to repay it.

“What breaks my heart is that when we stay silent, perpetrators remain free and victims are denied justice.”

In this message, Sr Sylvia reminds us that silence allows human trafficking to continue. Every unreported case is a missed chance to protect someone and hold offenders accountable.

If you see something, say something. Your action could save a life.

Celebrating Youth Day with the young people of St.Francis Xavier Parish in Mbala 🎉

The Diocesan team spent the day engaging children and youth, empowering them with knowledge and encouraging them to become advocates in their own communities. Through shared moments and dialogue, they were reminded that their voices matter and that they have the power to create real change.

No one should ever make them feel that speaking up is pointless. Reporting suspicious activity can protect lives and prevent harm.

Let’s continue to raise a generation that is informed, courageous, and committed to safeguarding their communities.

WEEKS PRAYER

Loving Father,

You see not as humans see, but You look into the heart. Open our eyes as You opened the eyes of the blind man, so that we may recognise the suffering of those trapped in human trafficking and those forced into unsafe migration.

Help us to walk as children of light, exposing injustice and bringing hope where there is exploitation and deception.

Guide us this week to be instruments of Your light, standing for justice.
Amen. 🤍

Happy International Women’s Day! 🌸

We celebrate the strength, resilience and invaluable contributions of women to our families and communities. Women continue to shape societies, lead change and uplift those around them in countless ways.

This day is also a reminder of the importance of creating opportunities for women and girls, especially those who are vulnerable to being trafficked. By raising the voices of women and promoting equality, we help build safer communities where dignity, opportunity and justice can flourish for all.

Let us continue to support, empower and celebrate women today and every day. 🤍
