✨ SOUNDNESS OF HEALTH ✨

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (3 John 1:2).

One of the areas Satan likes to take advantage of God’s people is in their health. Thus, in keeping yourself in health, the first thing you need to consciously recognize is that the Word of God is pure medicine. Meditating on the Word will keep you in soundness of health—spirit, soul and body.

Every day, meditate on the Word. Don’t wait for trouble to strike before you start “trying” to meditate on the Word. Meditate on the Word ahead of the evil day.

Something else you need that’s of equal importance is the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit about what you eat and how you treat your body. Such things aren’t too trivial for Him to give you clear guidance about. Trust Him; He’ll teach you how to be wise about food.

It’s God’s will and desire for you to be healthy and strong. That’s why, besides teaching and guiding you on the things to do to keep your body in health, He also “perambulates” in you to ward off sickness, disease and infirmities from your body: “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and WALK (perambulate) in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people” (2 Corinthians 6:16). Praise God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, your Word is medicine for my body and health to every fibre of my being. I’m perpetually healthy and strong. And now, I pray for your children around the world who are sick in their bodies, that your healing power will surge through them now, healing their bodies and getting rid of the flu, the migraine, the cancer or any infirmity in their bodies, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Isaiah 58:8

Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.

10. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

✨ HIS LOVE MANIFESTED IN YOU ✨

“For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh” (2 Corinthians 4:11).

The proof that we know God’s love is how we share it. Did you ever stop to think about that? We do not know God’s love until we share it and manifest it. Jesus was the manifestation of God’s love. He was God’s love in the flesh. That is to say He was the “body” of love.

The Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John show Him as the embodiment of love. Jesus did not merely have love; He was love made flesh! That is one of the most extraordinary truths ever revealed. Jesus is the perfect description of love.

We read in the Bible that God is love (1 John 4:8), but this will never mean anything to you until you get to know Jesus. Many think of God with various imaginations. Bus Jesus said, “If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father” (John 14:9). Hallelujah! The Bible says as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). God’s plan is to reveal Himself – character, ability, and His nature of love and righteousness through each one of us.

The expression of His love in and through you is a key indicator of spiritual growth. You are truly spiritually mature when the love of God is expressed more and more in your words, thoughts attitude and actions. Walking in love is the manifestation o the life and nature of Christ that is in your spirit. Praise God!

CONFESSION

The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost. Love is the manifestation of the life of Christ in me. I am growing in the love of God, manifesting it everywhere more and more in my words, thoughts, attitudes and actions. Hallelujah!

“!OUR PRAYERS AS INCENSE”

And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints (Revelation 5:8).

In the Old Testament, the Lord gave instructions to the priests to burn incense morning and evening in the Tabernacle. They were also to offer sacrifices in the morning and in the evening. Yet, the Bible says all that was a shadow of things to come (Hebrews 10:1). God wanted something better and spiritual.

Many years later, the Apostle John, by the Spirit, sees into the heavens and is shown this amazing truth: “…golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints” (Revelation 5:8). Blessed be God! When we pray in the earth, it comes before the Lord as incense. King David had a revelation of this; the Lord had guided him to understand that our prayers are actually set before God as incense. So he said in Psalm 141:2, “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.”

The kind of prayer referred to is one of worship and intercession. In worship, we offer sacrifices of praise to the Lord with the fruit of our lips—words of praise and thanksgiving (Hebrews 13:15). Our intercessory prayers go up to God, thwarting the plans of the enemy and changing things in the heavenly realm. This is such a heavenly ministry!

Think about it: As we pray, we send incense; fragrance of a sweet smell a sacrifice acceptable and well-pleasing to God—resulting in positive changes in the earth! That’s why you should always pray. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing.” 1 Timothy 2:1-4 says, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority….” As saints of God, we have a ministry of prayer. It’s our responsibility to pray for sinners that they may receive salvation. Each one of us has a primary ministry of worship, which is ministering to the Lord. These prayers of intercession and worship are the incense before the Father.

CONFESSION

Dear Father, through Christ, I offer up to you sacrifices of praise—prayers of worship and intercession—the fruit of my lips that thankfully acknowledge, confess and glorify your Name. You’re the Holy and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords. You’re worthy of all praise and adoration, forever and ever. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

Revelation 5:8 CEV

After he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders knelt down before him. Each of them had a harp and a gold bowl full of incense,[a] which are the prayers of God’s people.

Revelation 8:4

And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

Hebrews 13:15

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

*THEME:* *WHEN FAITH IS BROKE.*

_*…Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth (Luke 18:8).*_

Nowadays, it’s not uncommon to hear Christians talk about their doctor as though he’s the Holy Spirit. You’ll hear them make statements like: “I was having tummy ache; so I went to the doctor and he told me what to do.” They receive the doctor’s recommendations as though such recommendations came from the Holy Spirit.

Imagine a Christian who’s been feeling a headache for two weeks. You’d think the next thing he’d say is how he took a stand against it in the Name of Jesus, and it disappeared. Instead, his testimony is that he called his doctor who gave him a powerful drug that took care of it.

The question to ask such people is, “Where is your faith? Where is the place of the Word of God in your life?” They’re doing things because the doctor—not the Word or the Spirit—said to do them. How sad! Christians who have found themselves in this predicament have one major problem: their faith has gone broke or bankrupt.

The message of faith teaches that when you feel symptoms in your body, you rebuke it in the Name of Jesus. You command Satan to get out! Many have become so enslaved to their feelings that the slightest ache or pain have them heading to the drug store. How about the divine life in you? You’re born of God and His life in you makes you impregnable to sickness; absolutely unconquerable. Hallelujah!

You may say, “But I confessed, prayed and tried everything, but nothing was working, and I didn’t know what else to do.” Well, that’s what happens when faith is broke. How did you know things weren’t working? They only stopped working when you thought and said they weren’t working. Faith always works. Use it to frame your world and create the glorious realities you want to experience in life.

*CONFESSION*

It makes no difference what the situation is; my faith, fueled by the Word, always works! I take advantage of God’s extraordinary power in overcoming life’s adversities by expressing my faith, which is the victory that overcomes the world, its systems, economies and economics. I’m fully convinced of my eternal victory over sickness, poverty, Satan and the world. Therefore, I rejoice, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

*THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD.*

Tuesday, April 14th.

Pastor Chris

_*To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19).*_

Many in the Church really don’t understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You couldn’t understand the Gospel and not be enthused and compelled by its truth. It’s not an assumption; it’s not some fairytale; the Gospel is real and sublime.

Think about it: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; God, in human flesh, came into this world to take the place of sinful man. He was crucified on the Cross, buried, and rose from the dead and He’s alive today. Everything He accomplished on the Cross was for the whole world.

When He died on the Cross, we died in Him. When He was buried, we were buried in Him. When God raised Him up, we were raised together with Him. Today, because He lives, we live also. What a story! The One who knew no sin was made to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him!

Our opening verse says, _*“To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”*_ I’m compelled by this truth of the Gospel that, whereas we were all dead, cut off from the life of God, now in Christ we live. What a hope! What a message! There’s nothing like it in the world; it’s the greatest story ever told. It’s as fresh as tomorrow!

To think that this is the Gospel that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs looked forward to! This is the same Gospel that Moses, David and all of the prophets that spoke about Christ, prophesied about. This is the Gospel that we’ve embraced; that has become so real to our spirits. How amazing! It’s an unending song, an ever-flowing stream of bliss. How could I ever see and think but through His eyes and love only!

When I think about Jesus and what the Gospel means, and all that He’s done for us, I’m compelled to make it known to the world. What about you? Would you join to take this saving message to the ends of the earth?

*||* *Romans 1:16-17 AMPC* For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek, 17 For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith. *||*

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES FRIDAY 10TH APRIL.

YOU’VE GOT TO “WRITE…”

[No] you yourselves are our letter of recommendation (our credentials), written in your hearts, to be known (perceived, recognized) and read by everybody. You show and make obvious that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, not written with ink but with [the] Spirit of [the] living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts (2 Corinthians 3:2-3 AMPC).

Some Bible translators felt that Paul couldn’t have written on the hearts of others, and therefore, they assumed he meant, “We carry the thoughts of you in our hearts.” But the next verse contradicts this. It says, “You’re the epistle of Christ ministered by us.” What does this mean, and how does this work? Now, it’s not enough for it to be written in your heart. As you study this devotional, for example, the Word is being ministered to you, but not all that’s contained in the Gospel is coming to you right now.

Moreover, think about the fact that Peter too ministered the Gospel and wrote letters to the churches, but he didn’t come with all of the truth of the Gospel. Paul was given a dispensation of it to bring to the Church, but it’s the same Gospel. Peter brings the generality of the Gospel, and Paul brings the specific, intricate, analytical details of the Gospel; how the Church should run. He wrote about the structure of the Church, and the new creation in Christ; he wrote those revelations in “letters”—epistles to the churches.

Now, there’s the Word of God ministered to you (the letter), which you’ve received to become the “epistle of Christ,” but that may not be sufficient for the life that God wants you to live. So, what are you going to do? You’ve got to “write” your own truth as inspired by the Word. Read the concluding part of our theme verse again; it shows the result of the ministry of the Word that came to you. The Word of faith has been ministered to you; you’ve become a bearer or messenger of that same word; you believe it, you’re talking it, but that’s not enough, because what you have is what has been ministered to you. There’re some others that you have to “write” or draft for yourself.

The one you heard preached or taught was written to you, or written into you—into the tablet of your heart. But when you’re done with that, like when you’re done studying today’s devotional, what are you going to write? That’s what really transforms your life and sustains you on the glory highway. We’ll learn more and review how this works in our next study.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that has come into my heart today, resulting in positive transformation and promotion, causing me to walk in glory and soar on the wings of your Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

*HE BUILDS US THROUGH HIS WORD .*

Tuesday, March 24th .
Pastor Chris

_*And I say also unto thee…I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH; AND THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST IT (Matthew 16:18).*_

These words above came from the very lips of the Master; He’s personally responsible for building His Church. But how’s He doing it? We know that the Lord Jesus is in heaven, but the Holy Spirit is with us, and in us, continuing His ministry here in the earth. So, He builds His Church through the ministry or instrumentality of God’s Word.

The Word of God is everything; that’s what gave birth to you, and therefore it’s what will sustain you. 1 Peter 1:23 says, _*“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”*_ James tells us the same thing: _*“Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures”*_ (James 1:18). The Word is your life, therefore you must yield yourself to the Word to build and nourish you. Study the Word voraciously. Meditate on the scriptures. That way, you’re submitting yourself to the Lordship of the Word.

The Word is the only ingredient that can transform and build our lives on all three levels: spirit, soul and body. When the Word of God gets into your spirit, it produces in you what it talks about. For example, the Word of salvation, which is the very first step. Romans 1:16 says, _*“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth….”*_ That means God’s power to save anyone is in the Gospel of Christ—His Word of salvation.

In Acts 20:32, Paul writes, _*“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”*_ Make the important decision to keep improving your life by being a student of the Word. It’ll cause you to have an effectual life of success and constant victories. Hallelujah!

*CONFESSION*

*Blessed Father, thank you for the power of your Word in my life; I’m built and nourished by your Word for a life of greatness and joy in the Holy Ghost. My mind is renewed and my life transformed even now, by the power and glory of your Word. Hallelujah!*

WORD OF THE DAY

2 Corinthians 1: 17 - 20 NIV

You cannot have Christ and lack anything in this life
When Christ comes to live in you, he makes you a mobile center for prosperity.
Christ does not function with YES and NO but only YES
That means whenever you pray, the answer is YES.

When God says He loves you, its not out of your qualification but because its of His doing.
It has no In betweens.

There are no two ways about matters but exactly what God says.
The standard he has set for us cannot be altered or edited.
It is a clear life. There is no negotiation over what God has declared and settled for you in Christ.

WORD OF THE DAY

It is important that you have a correct picture of who God is. In many places God is presented to us a fierce task master and if you know Him from that perspective you will not have a proper relationship with Him.

If you only know God as master you might reach a level of frustration in your walk with Him but if you know Him as a father you will enjoy your walk with Him. For a master you will have to beg him but you don’t have to beg a father to give you something. The relationship we have with God is that is our father.

When the bible talks about the fear of the Lord it does not mean being terrified but it means loving reverence.

John 10:10 (KJV)
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.

The life that everyone is acquainted with is the human life.
But what Jesus referred to in John 10:10 is “Zoe” which means the very life of God.

Your understanding of the working of Zoe (the God-kind of life) will determine the extent to which you will enjoy your walk with God. It must sink deep in your spirit that God wants you to enjoy life.
