As I embrace this new day, remember me, O LORD, as You remembered the children of Israel. Forgive me as You forgive all who sinned against You and seek the kingdom of heaven. Let Your grace speak for me in places where qualifications do not matter, and let Your grace guide my heart. May Your divine favor and intervention go before me and remain with me always.

Even when life’s hardest challenges try to weigh me down, may I remember Your servant Job, who lost everything yet still found hope because You restored him. Strengthen me to stand firm through every trial.

May my faith remain steadfast, unshakable, and indomitable like steel refined in a blast furnace. Let my hope rise above every doubt, discouragement, despair, and negativity that tries to overshadow my spirit. Fill me with courage, wisdom, peace, and endurance for the journey ahead.

May my steps be ordered by You, my words carry kindness and truth, and my heart remain humble and grateful in all seasons. Let favor, mercy, and blessings surround me today and always. Amen.

Job 14:7-9

There is hope for a tree that has been cut down; it can come back to life and sprout.
Even though it's roots grow old, and it's stump dies in the ground, with water it will sprout like a young plant.

As St. John the Apostle Parish, we join the Archdiocesan faithful in celebrating the official appointments of the following priests:
Rev. Fr. Collins Moonga and Rev. Fr. Evaristo Kabungo as official Exorcists for the Archdiocese of Lusaka and Rev. Fr. Boniface Mwika as Chaplain for the Charismatic Renewal Movement.

These appointments have been made by the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Lusaka, Most Rev. Dr. Alick Banda, in a continued effort to strengthen the Charismatic Renewal Movement within the Archdiocese.

The Archbishop further reminded all the faithful gathered for the Solemnity of Pentecost Sunday that, in order to continue serving effectively as Christians, the Holy Spirit must work hand in hand with us. He emphasized that we live in a world filled with fear, intimidation, criticism, and temptations, but if we allow the Holy Spirit to dwell in us and guide us, we shall continue working for the glory of the Lord and for the salvation of many souls.

He shared this message during the Charismatic Renewal Thanksgiving Mass held on Pentecost Sunday at the Cathedral of the Child Jesus, Pope Square.

We begin this new day with Christ 🕯️

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Our heavenly Father of all grace, love, mercy and truth, I come before You this morning, seeking for Your presence to guide my heart, my mind, my body and my soul. You who is sevenfold in grace, send forth Your Holy Spirit to enlighten my day, strengthen me whenever I am weak, direct my steps whenever I stray away from Your path, reaffirm my faith in You, that I may never depart from it.

Many times I am assailed by different kinds of trials and tribulations of life. Heavenly Father, forgive me for indulging myself into things that displeases You, distorts Your image through my daily negative words and actions towards life and living. Today, I surrender all unto You, O LORD; pardon me for I am a sinner.

Let Your grace speak for me and lead my heart into doing the right thing at the right time. I make this prayer believing and trusting in Your name. Amen.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen
