VERSE
Matthew 11:28 (KJV) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

INSPIRATION
Life may drag one down more times than one cares to remember, and so often we may stumble through our days tired, worn, and heavy. Even though a holiday may help, what’s meant in this passage here in Matthew is much more profound in suggesting that unlike holidays, the Lord, His word, His truth and His arms, are always open to receive us. Furthermore, His house is also always open. For it is important to make time for the Church, wherever possible. For the more time one may spend there, the more one may feel one's spirit rested, and the stronger one may become in facing the world again.

PRAYER
God, I bring You my soul, heavy with burden but forever open to Your word. Where I tire, give me rest. Give me Your house and Your teachings to heal my broken bones and tired body, through igniting again in me the light within my heart. Give me strength again and again, where I falter and fail, for I wish to serve and labor only under You Lord, and wish to speak only Your name. Amen.

Psalms 27:1 (KJV) The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

INSPIRATION
When you take a look at who God is, and realize how powerful and how amazing He is, you realize that there really isn’t anything the enemy can do to bring you down. God is the source of your salvation and your eternal security. Who or what can defeat that? Absolutely no one and nothing can! God is the ultimate light of your life; no form of darkness can prevail in the presence of God. Take courage as you dwell on these facts. God is always with you.

PRAYER
Dear God, when I reflect on Your power and on Your mightiness, confidence rises within me. Challenges and stressful situations may try to bring me down but I take courage as I dwell on the fact that since You are for me, nothing can ever stand against me and prevail. Thank you for this boldness, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Revelation 5:9 (KJV) And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

INSPIRATION
In the Old Testament we might be forgiven for thinking that ones only hope in those times was to be one of chosen people of Israel. But today through divination, we might consider ourselves much more blessed. Translated from Hebrew, it might be interesting to note that Israel means ‘he that strives with God’. If this meaning resonates with ones own life, and one’s own experience, than we may all consider ourselves the chosen people.

PRAYER
Lord my guide and my shepherd, my light upon this world, I sing to you my praises of love and adoration. For you have included me Lord, amongst your chosen people. Even if we speak with different tongues or come from different nations, we rejoice in being able to break bread together in your name. Hosanna in the highest, Amen.

VERSE
John 1:4-5 (KJV) In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

INSPIRATION
Death equals darkness, whereas life equals light. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, those who believe in him have eternal life. That means they have been called out of darkness and into the light. Hallelujah! Furthermore, darkness will never overcome the light for his light shines in the darkness. Much like a how even in the darkest room the flicker of a candle light is seen, his light will never be extinguished.

PRAYER
Dear God, thank you for the incredible gift of your son, Jesus Christ. Through his death and resurrection, we have been set from death and given eternal life. Our salvation sets us apart in the midst of darkness. Thank you for overcoming darkness, O Lord. May we live our lives shining brightly to bring your glory and draw others to you. In Jesus’ name, amen.

INSPIRATION
Exalted above all else, is God’s ultimate power. No one or no thing is above this. In this way at least, in front of God’s dominion, all things were created equal.

PRAYER
Lord God Almighty, thank you for giving us the kinship of faith, to share and bask in Your eternal glory. Grant me the strength and will to maintain my faith while serving You, especially in times of darkness and difficulty. Further, grant me strength in the Holy Fellowship, the church, and Your followers. For we are Your children, and You are our loving father, who has pulled us out from darkness and shown us the light. Amen.

INSPIRATION
As we follow God’s guidance in our lives, we will express more and more of His nature in our daily lives. We will become more understanding towards our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and this will help us forgive and love one another wholeheartedly. As we grow in our love for one another, our testimony of Jesus Christ, will become more effective and powerful because we will not just be giving the world our words, we will be backing up our words with action as well.

PRAYER
Dear God, I pray for the collective body of Christ across the world. Lord, I pray that the love we have for one another will grow day by day. May we all be attentive to Your guidance, Father, especially when it comes to how we fellowship with one another so that our actions will always be based on love and nothing else. May the love we have for one another be a testimony to the world of Your goodness and Your love, Father. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
