Prolific Zambian swimmers Mia Phiri and Damien Shamambo set new national records and personal bests at the recently held World Aquatics Championships in Doha.

Damien Shamambo of Zambia delivered a solid performance, clocking a personal best of 24.50 in Heat 6 of the 50m freestyle at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar.

Zambian swimming prodigy Mia Phiri achieved a remarkable feat, establishing a new national record in the 50m Backstroke at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha. Mia clocked an impressive time of 29.61 seconds, surpassing her previous personal and national best of 30.17 seconds.
