“FOR I WILL PASS THROUGH THE LAND OF EGYPT THIS NIGHT…”
— Exodus 12:12 (KJV)
May the Lord pass through your Egypt today!
Egypt represents every place of bo***ge, oppression, limitation, sorrow, and captivity where the enemy has told you, “You will never come out.” But there comes a night when God Himself passes through Egypt and when God passes through, nothing remains the same.
The children of Israel had cried for years under the weight of slavery. Their prayers may have seemed unanswered, their tears may have appeared unnoticed, and their deliverance may have seemed delayed. But heaven was not silent because God was absent. While Israel was crying, God was preparing a deliverer.
«“And the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bo***ge, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bo***ge.”
— Exodus 2:23»
Their cry reached heaven.
Then came the night when God said, “I will pass through the land of Egypt.”
When God passes through your Egypt, your chains cannot remain. Your captivity cannot remain. Your affliction cannot remain. Your old condition cannot remain.
Look at blind Bartimaeus. He sat by the highway, unable to see, but he could hear that Jesus was passing by. When he realized that his opportunity had come, he cried:
«“Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.”

The multitude tried to silence him. They told him to hold his peace. But Bartimaeus understood something: when Jesus is passing by, you cannot afford to be silent.
He cried the more.
And Jesus stopped.
What a mystery! The cry of one blind man stopped the footsteps of Jesus.
Jesus called him, and when Bartimaeus came, Jesus asked him:
«“What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?”»
He said, “Lord, that I might receive my sight.”
And Jesus said:
«“Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole.”»
Immediately, he received his sight.
His Egypt was stricken!
The same Jesus who passed through Egypt in the days of Israel is still passing through the lives of people today. He is passing through homes, families, businesses, ministries, impossible situations, and troubled hearts.
Maybe your Egypt is sickness.
Maybe your Egypt is poverty.
Maybe your Egypt is rejection.
Maybe your Egypt is disappointment.
Maybe your Egypt is a door that has refused to open.
Maybe your Egypt is a battle that has lasted for years.
Do not mistake delay for denial.
Israel cried for years, but God was preparing Moses.
Bartimaeus cried until Jesus stopped.
Your responsibility is to keep crying. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep standing on the Word.
The devil wants you to stop praying because he knows that there is a point where your cry will become a testimony.
Never give up because the answer has not yet appeared.
While you are praying, God is preparing.
While you are crying, God is working.
While you are waiting, God is arranging things you cannot see.
While you are in Egypt, God is preparing your Exodus!
There was a night when Israel went to bed as slaves and woke up on the road to freedom.
May this be your season of Exodus!
May the Lord pass through your Egypt today.
May He pass through every place where you have been bound.
May He break chains that human strength could not break.
May He silence the voices that have tried to keep you down.
May He hear your cry as He heard Israel.
May He stop for you as He stopped for Bartimaeus.
And may you come out of your Egypt not as the person who entered it, but as a testimony of the delivering power of God.
Your Egypt is not your destination.
There is an Exodus coming.
Keep praying. Keep crying. Keep believing. Keep holding on.
For the God who heard Israel,
the God who stopped for Bartimaeus,
and the God who passed through Egypt
is still God today.
Your night of bo***ge will not last forever.
Your cry will not be in vain.
Your Egypt will not have the final word.
God is preparing your deliverance.
Be encouraged. Be strengthened. Be lifted up.
Your Exodus is in the hands of God.
