In his sermon, Protecting Our Inheritance, Elder Musamvu shared the importance of taking Godly things seriously. Too often, people sin deliberately, planning to simply ask for forgiveness later. This is wrong, and it robs us of our inheritance.

​As the Apostle Paul wrote, "Do not be conformed to the standards of this world." As believers, we must live a godly life and protect what God has given us.

​The question is; Will you trade your inheritance for the temporary pleasures of this world and live in regret like Esau? Or will you guard your inheritance, receive God's blessings, and fulfill your destiny? How you live today will determine your outcome.

We had a lovely Sunday service with Elder Kenneth Musamvu, who shared a powerful message on the theme: "Protect Your Inheritance."

​Drawing from Genesis 25 and the story of Jacob and Esau, the elder shared how Esau sold his birthright to Jacob. In verse 32, Esau said, "Look, I am about to die; what good is this birthright to me?" He did this simply because he was hungry and desperately wanted the food Jacob had prepared. As a result, he ultimately missed out on the blessing from his father.

Our inheritance is in Christ Jesus, which is eternal life but many are times many people today trade their God-given inheritance due to the difficult circumstances they face or temporary satisfaction, thereby missing out on their blessings and destiny.

​However, the elder encouraged us to protect our spiritual inheritance, giving example of;
​Joseph, who protected his righteousness and integrity when tempted by Potiphar’s wife.

​Mary, who protected her inheritance by keeping herself pure, and was chosen and blessed to be the mother of Jesus.

​Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who protected their devotion to God regardless of the situation they were in.
​
We were encouraged not to be like Esau, trading our inheritance or blessings for the short-lived pleasures of this world. Instead, we must guard it diligently so that God Almighty may favor us and fulfill our divine destiny.
