BE DISCERNING MY DAUGHTER
Not every young man who says he loves you is thinking about marriage. Some are not pursuing covenant; they are pursuing convenience.
They are patient enough to gain access, gentle enough to lower your guard, spiritual enough to sound convincing but their end is not commitment. Their goal is pleasure, not responsibility.
My daughter, hear this clearly: a man who truly wants marriage will protect your purity, not pressure it.
A man who sees you as a wife will honor your boundaries.
A man who only wants to sleep with you will always be in a hurry.
He will say, “If you love me, you will prove it.”
He will say, “We are already one in the spirit.”
He will say, “God understands.”
But my daughter, God does not contradict Himself. Love does not rush holiness. Desire without discipline is not love it is lust dressed in words.
Be discerning. Watch his consistency, not his compliments. Watch his patience, not his promises. Watch his respect for your convictions, not his emotional speeches.
Any man who cannot wait cannot lead. Any man who pushes you to bed before commitment will likely push you aside after pleasure.
Remember this: sleeping with you costs him nothing, but marrying you costs him everything his name, his responsibility, his future. A serious man is willing to pay the price.
A unserious one wants the benefit without the burden.
My daughter, your body is not a test of love; it is a treasure for covenant. Do not trade your peace for momentary affection. Do not silence discernment because of feelings. Feelings can be loud, but wisdom must be louder.
I speak as a father:
Protect your purity.
Honor your value.
Trust God’s timing.
The right man will not ask you to disobey God to keep him. He will wait, he will plan, and he will come with clarity and commitment.
Be discerning, my daughter.
Not every man who desires you deserves you.
