Subject: POSTPONMENT of PROGRAMS SCHEDULED for AUGUST 2026 and CALL for
WISDOM in the Use of SOCIAL MEDIA
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
The RCZ Synod Leadership sincerely thanks all members, congregations,
presbyteries, and other church entities for responding positively to the call to prayer
and for promoting peace before, during, and after the General Elections held on 13th
August 2026.
Your prayers, responsible participation, and commitment to peace have
been a powerful witness to our Christian faith and our desire for a stable, united, and
peaceful Zambia.
As our nation awaits the official announcement of the election results and the period
immediately thereafter, the RCZ Synod Leadership has deemed it prudent to take
measures that will safeguard our members and ensure that church activities are
conducted in a peaceful and secure environment.
In this regard, we instruct that events, such as: Regional Women’s Fellowship Revival
Meetings, Regional Men’s Fellowship Revival Meetings and Regional Youth Camps
scheduled to take place between now and Monday, 24th August 2026, be postponed
until further notice. This measure is intended to ensure the safety of our members and
to allow for continued calmness, stability, and peace as the nation concludes the
electoral process and transitions into the post-election period.
We also urge all members to exercise wisdom and responsibility when using social
media and other communication platforms. Members are called upon to be mindful of
what they post, share, comment on, or forward, whether on OFFICIAL CHURCH PLATFORMS
or PERSONAL ACCOUNTS . Let us avoid circulating unverified information, inflammatory messages, offensive remarks, partisan propaganda, or content that may incite fear,
conflict, or hostility. As followers of Christ, our communication should always reflect
truth, love, peace, wisdom, and respect for others.
With the Lord on our side, we are confident that Zambia will soon overcome this
electoral challenge and continue on the path of peace, unity, and progress.
May God bless the Reformed Church in Zambia.
