Word to meditate on this week.
"But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. So he paid a fare and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the Lord.
But the Lord hurled a great wind upon the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship threatened to break up. Then the mariners were afraid, and each cried out to his god. And they hurled the cargo that was in the ship into the sea to lighten it for them. But Jonah had gone down into the inner part of the ship and had laid down and was fast asleep" (Jonah 1:3-5)

This should remind us that we can try to run away from God's assignment, but we cannot out run God. He is sovereign. And so:
- no one escapes His presence
- no one thwarts God's sovereign plan and our resistance cannot defeat His sovereign will.

Therefore, let's:
- be in the centre of God's will
- align with Him
- obey His revealed word and maintain our right relationship with Him
