YOU ARE WARMLY INVITED TO WORSHIP WITH US THIS SUNDAY! πŸ™πŸ½

Life isn't always easy. We all face moments of uncertainty, disappointment, and hardship. But God's Word reminds us that our hope is never lost because our hope is found in Christ.

This Sunday, we shall have our preaching on the theme:

πŸ“– "Hope in Hard Times"
"Our hope is not in changing circumstances, but in an unchanging God."

Whether you're carrying a heavy burden, seeking encouragement, or simply desiring to grow in your faith, you are welcome to join us for a time of worship, prayer, and fellowship.

πŸ“ Venue: RCZ Johnlaing Congregation
πŸ•˜ Time: 1st Service - 07 00hrs, 2nd Service - 09:00 Hours

Come with your family, friends, and neighbours. There is hope in God's presence, and there is a word for you.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him..." β€” Romans 15:13

We look forward to worshipping with you. God bless you! πŸ™πŸ½

Word of mediation for this week: Revelation 20:11-15.

John shows us a solemn warning against rejecting God and reminds us of the impending righteous judgement. He tells us what he saw in his vision and this should give us a reason to prepare in order to avoid condemnation at the last day.

What John saw:
Vs 11. Signifies the certainty and how serious the final judgement will be that day.
- it's real and unavoidable
- it is God's plan
- it will be carried out by:
. The Supreme Authority
. His Majesty
. The Holy Judge
. One who judges with truth
. One who judges with justice
= no corruption
= no appeal
= nothing sinful and temporary will stand God's glorious presence

Vs 12a. Shows us the universality of this final judgement. The final judgement is the great equaliser, all categories of people will be judged "the great and small"
- the rich and poor
- the powerful and weak
- the educated and uneducated
- the kings and servants
- the famous and unknown
Everyone will before the Holy Judge. "Every knee shall bow before the name of Jesus" (Philippians 2:10)
This should humble us.

Vs 12b. Warns us that the final judgement is not based on assumptions but the truth
- He will judge based on complete knowledge
. He knows every action, word, thought, motive (all are documented). Books will be open, not that it is salvation by works no. It's known that salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ. But the judgement is by the perfect standard and truth.
Let us strive to live righteous

Vs. 14-15. Warns us about our eternal destinies. This determines our destination.

- if your name is not found in the book of life, you will be separated from God completely, but
- if it's written/found in this book of life, you have eternal life with God.
And so, turn to God. Repent and believe in Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the whole world. Accept Him as your personal Saviour.
This is how we can be ready for the coming judgement

Note: Vs 13. God has already won the battle. He has alread overcome death and evil through His Jesus Christ (His suffering, death and resurrection).
This should give us more reason to turn to Him.

May God be gracious to you
May He help you to turn to Him

Stay Blessed
