FRUITFULNESS.(John 15)
Every believer is commanded to be fruitful. Fruitfulness is proven through service and results. The Bible makes it clear that Jesus is a tree, God waters him and we are the branches. A branch is an extension of a tree. Every time you see branches drying it’s a sign that they have refused to get nutrients from the tree.(Jesus)
Jesus is only giving us one commandment here that we should be fruitful. In genesis 1:28 God said “we should be fruitful multiply, fill the the earth. and subdue it”. We should bare fruits, because it is commanded by God that every believer should be fruitful!
Jesus cuts off every branch that doesn’t bare fruit.
Some people have refused to bare fruits. It is possible to be a dry Christian. Not bare fruits. as a Christian it is an error to be in Jesus and not bare fruits.
How to know fruits are working in your life.
1. you have a desire to serve God.
2. How you serve during the church, how many people are getting healed during your serving in church.
If you want results, serve God. Make sure God doesn’t put you aside because you are not serving him. Abraham was not in s***m and gomorrah but God went to him because he was productive in his place.
God is never stranded. He always has a plan B. If you lay down your assignment, someone else will pick it up. God picks those that are not qualified and take up the position. Think of David, he was in the field when Samuel came. He wasn’t even invited but his heart and faithfulness qualified him. Every time you are in God’s presence, take it as an opportunity to serve God. Do it with your heart and everything in you.
There’s a woman Kathryn Kuhlman who prayed to God. “Lord if anyone is wasting anointing, give it to me” that’s the heart of someone who refuses to be idle. Everytime God gives you an assignment you don’t take it up, he will find someone to take it up.
It’s possible to be familiar to the work God has given you, don’t be familiar with what God has given to you, learn to prepare. Jeremiah says “ every time he wants to stop he fails because “ his word is like fire shut up in my bones”. You can’t stay quiet when God has put something in you. It’s an opportunity to serve in Church, don’t become too used. You can never grow unless you become deliberate and intentional about your service to God.
Tell yourself... “I refuse to be replaced in the name of Jesus “
It is better to be replaced after your assignment is fulfilled, because your assignment makes you relevant. By all means make sure you are not replaced. It is possible to be replaced yet you are still in church. How? For example “Omel comes early to church, and he always tells pastor what can I do? .Wheather pastor likes it or not, Omel will be on the pastor’s mind because his always available. God will always make sure his on his mind. Find something you can do in church. Win souls for Christ, usher, intercede , Jesus is happy when you are fruitful. In John 15 Jesus says by this my father is glorified. Be deliberate, don’t come to Church only to seat.
