WEDNESDAY MORNING PRAYER
Gracious and Everlasting God, the Ancient of Days, the Alpha and the Omega, we come before Your throne of mercy this Wednesday morning with humble and thankful hearts. Lord, we thank You for the precious gift of life. As we slept through the night, we did not know whether we would live to see this day, but by Your mercy, Your grace, and the purpose You still have for our lives, You have allowed us to rise again this morning. For this, Father, we say thank You.
Thank You for Your unfailing love, Your protection, and Your endless compassion toward us. Thank You for fighting battles we did not see and for preserving us and our families through the night. Truly, if it had not been for You on our side, where would we be?
Lord God Almighty, we acknowledge that we are mere mortals, imperfect and prone to sin. We come before You in repentance, asking for Your mercy. Forgive us for every sin known and unknown, every careless word, every wrong thought, every act of disobedience, and even the sins of omission. Wash us clean by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and purify our hearts. Create in us a clean spirit and renew a right spirit within us. Help us to walk in holiness, obedience, humility, and righteousness, knowing that through Christ Jesus we are more than conquerors and victors in every circumstance.
Father, as this day unfolds, we decree and declare that Your mercy shall cover us and Your love shall surround us wherever we go. Go before us and make every crooked path straight. Order our steps according to Your will and guide every decision we make today. Let Your wisdom speak through us, and let Your peace reign in our hearts.
We lift up our families, friends, colleagues, neighbors, and even our enemies before You. Lord, have mercy upon them and reveal Your love and goodness to them. Touch every hurting heart, strengthen the weak, provide for those in need, and remind Your children that every good and perfect gift comes from You. Let them know that Your plans toward them are good — plans to prosper them, give them hope, and bring them to an expected end.
Father, we pray for Your blessings upon our homes, marriages, children, businesses, ministries, schools, and places of work. Let favor locate us in every area of our lives. Open doors that no man can shut and grant us divine opportunities, breakthroughs, and testimonies. Protect us from evil, accidents, sickness, and every trap of the enemy.
May everything we do today bring glory and honor to Your holy name. We commit this Wednesday into Your mighty hands, trusting that You are with us and that victory belongs to us through Christ Jesus.
