God often allows challenges to prove His presence, power, and promises in our lives .

*HE IS RISEN*

Today, we gather to celebrate the most pivotal moment in human history: the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The angel's words to the women at the tomb, "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said" (Matthew 28:6), echo through the ages, proclaiming the triumph of life over death, hope over despair, and love over sin.

*The Prophecy Fulfilled*

The resurrection of Jesus was not a surprise to God. It was foretold by the prophets, promised by Jesus himself, and recorded in Scripture. Isaiah 53:5 says, "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." This prophecy finds its fulfillment in Jesus' death and resurrection.

*The Power of Resurrection*

The resurrection of Jesus demonstrates God's power over death and the grave. Romans 1:4 says, "and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord." Jesus' resurrection is the proof of his divinity and the guarantee of our own resurrection.

*The Empty Tomb*

The women who went to the tomb that first Easter morning were met with an empty tomb and an angel's message: "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said" (Matthew 28:6). The tomb was empty, but the grave clothes were still there, rolled up and neatly placed (John 20:6-7). This shows that Jesus did not come back to life just to die again; he rose with victory over death.

*The Significance of Resurrection*

So, what does the resurrection mean for us? It means:

1. *Our Sins are Forgiven*: Through Jesus' death and resurrection, our sins are forgiven, and we are made new (Romans 3:25, 2 Corinthians 5:17).
2. *We Have Hope*: Jesus' resurrection gives us hope for our own resurrection and eternal life (1 Corinthians 15:20-22, John 11:25-26).
3. *We Can Overcome*: Jesus' power over death and sin gives us the strength to overcome our own struggles and challenges

Theme: *Occupying Territories: Claiming God's Promises*

* Numbers 33:51-53*: "Speak to the Israelites and say to them, 'When you enter Canaan, the land that I am giving you as an inheritance, drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you."
- *Joshua 1:3*: "Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon, to you I have given it."
- *Psalm 37:11*: "But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in Abundant peace.

Beloved, God calls us to occupy territories, to claim His promises and walk in victory .
You are an occupier, not a visitor. Occupy territories, claim God's promises, and walk in Victory 🙌

*What Does it Mean to Occupy Territories?*

- *Possess the Land*: God commands us to possess the land, to take territory for ourselves (Numbers 33:51-53).
- *Every Place You Step*: Jesus promises every place we step will be ours (Joshua 1:3).
- *Inheritance*: We are heirs to God's promises, entitled to occupy and possess (Ephesians 1:11).

*Biblical Examples of Believers who occupied territories.*

- *Israelites*

The saviour Occupied the cross, defeated sin and death (John 19:30).

*Tough Preparations for the Tough Journey*

*Text:* Deuteronomy 8:2-3, "And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not. And he humbled you and tested you and let you go hungry and gave you manna to eat, which you and your fathers had not known, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord."

*Introduction*

Life is a journey, and it's not always easy. In fact, it's often tough. But the Bible teaches us that tough preparations are necessary for the tough journey. The Israelites experienced this firsthand as they wandered through the wilderness for 40 years. God was preparing them for the Promised Land, but it wasn't an easy road.

*Tough Preparations are Necessary*

The wilderness was a place of testing, refinement, and preparation. God was teaching the Israelites to trust Him, to obey Him, and to rely on Him. And that's exactly what we need to do today. We need to understand that tough preparations are necessary for the tough journey.

- *Testing Refines Us*: Just like gold is refined in the fire, we are refined through trials and testing. (1 Peter 1:7, "so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.")
- *Obedience is Key*: The Israelites' disobedience led to consequences, but their obedience led to blessings. (Deuteronomy 28:1-2, "And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God.")
