Yesterday, the Woodlands Conference Communication Department held a Pastors’ Advisory Meeting aimed at strengthening strategic communication and ministry alignment across the Conference.

The President of the Woodlands Conference, Dr. Daniel Chuunga delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the critical role of communication in advancing the mission and effectiveness of the Church as an organization.

The Executive Secretary, Dr. Johnnie Namwako, presented the Woodlands Conference Strategic Plan and highlighted the indispensable role pastors play in achieving the Conference’s intended goals and targets.

The Communication Director, Pr. Joed Shangala, facilitated presentations on The Church and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Communication Strategy Direction, and PARL Strategic Direction, equipping pastors with insights on emerging technologies, effective communication approaches, and public affairs and religious liberty engagement within ministry in readiness for OneVoice27.

The meeting underscored the importance of intentional communication, strategic leadership, and innovation in enhancing ministry effectiveness and advancing the mission of the Church in a rapidly evolving world.

Woodlands Conference President | Strategic Visit at Libala Church

Today, the President of the Woodlands Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Dr. Daniel Chuunga, paid a visit to the Libala Seventh-day Adventist Church Board of Elders and its Building Committee for a strategic engagement regarding the church building project.

The meeting was held to appreciate the progress made toward the completion of the church infrastructure. Dr. Chuunga commended the church leadership for professionally conducting the bidding process, successfully awarding the contract, and formally signing the agreement in preparation for the completion phase of the project.

He further affirmed the leadership for their commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence in project ex*****on. It was noted that this strategic approach not only strengthens confidence in the project but also safeguards donor integrity and ensures responsible stewardship of all contributions made toward the building initiative.

The Elders expressed gratitude to the Conference leadership for its continued support, guidance, and oversight throughout the process. They noted that the encouragement and involvement from the Conference have greatly strengthened the church’s vision and confidence in the project.

Meanwhile, the contractor has since commenced mobilization of the construction team and is expected to move on site in readiness for the next phase of works.

We praise God for the successful launch of the Woodlands Conference Strategic Plan (2026–2030) at Government Complex.

Dr. Munyumbwe emphasized the need for excellence in ex*****on, while Elder Himaambo underscored a vital truth: a strategic plan without faithful giving cannot succeed.

The Golden Vocals blessed the saints with uplifting music, enriching this memorable occasion.

We thank God for the continued rollout of the Woodlands Conference Strategic Plan (2026–2030).

Following yesterday’s successful launch for our urban churches at Government Complex, today we take the vision to our rural districts (Luangwa, Rufunsa, & Chinyunyu) in Rufunsa. This moment reminds us that the mission is one, whether urban or rural, grounded in service, unity, and a commitment to reach every community.

Together, we move forward with purpose and faith, ensuring no district is left behind.

The Woodlands Conference is pleased to invite all Church Board Members from Urban Districts to a significant and strategic gathering:

📅 Date: Saturday, 2nd May 2026
⏰ Time: 08:30hrs – 16:30hrs
📍 Venue: Government Complex, Side Auditorium

Event: Official SZBU Presidential Visit & Lunch, and the Launch of the Woodlands Conference 2026–2030 Strategic Plan

This important meeting will provide an opportunity to engage with the Union leadership during the Presidential Visit, as well as to unpack and align with the Conference’s strategic direction for the next five years.

🍽️ Lunch will be provided for all attendees.

All Church Board Members from Urban Districts within Woodlands Conference are expected to attend and participate fully in this landmark engagement.

Woodlands Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church was honored to be represented at the Commemoration of Kenneth Kaunda Day, held at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross on Tuesday, 28th April 2026.

Pr. Joed S. Shangala, PARL Director for Woodlands Conference, represented the Adventist Church in Zambia and had the privilege of offering the opening prayer at this significant national gathering.

We thank God for the life and legacy of Kenneth Kaunda, whose values of unity, peace, and servant leadership continue to inspire our nation.
