Evening Devotion – 30/09/2026

Scripture: Isaiah 12:3 (NIV)
“With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”

Theme: Unclogging the Wells of Joy

Beloved in Christ, in Genesis 26 we read how the Philistines, out of jealousy, clogged Isaac’s wells—the very source of life for his family and flocks. A clogged well holds potential water, yet it cannot flow because of what blocks it. Isaac had to reopen and restore those wells to draw life-giving water again.

In the same way, the enemy seeks to clog the wells of salvation within us. He throws in stones of disappointment, hurt, offense, guilt, regret, and doubt. When these stones remain, joy is hindered, passion for salvation fades, and spiritual strength weakens.

But the wells of salvation are God’s gift to you. They are meant to flow freely with joy, refreshing and strengthening your soul. To keep them flowing, you may need to forgive, release regret, confront guilt, or remove the stone of self-doubt. Once unclogged, the living waters of salvation will gush forth, filling you with joy that no enemy can steal. Hallelujah!

Prayer for Tonight
“Father, thank You for the wells of salvation that satisfy and refresh me. Thank You that I can draw water with joy and be strengthened daily. Help me to remove every stone that clogs my well, so that Your life-giving water may flow freely. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Scripture: Psalm 23:1, TLB
Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need!

Theme: The Good Shepherd

Beloved in Christ, in Psalm 23, the reason David could declare that “though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil” is that he first knew “the Lord is my Shepherd.” It wasn’t because David was so strong and courageous that he never felt fear. It was because he knew he had the Good Shepherd, the Most High God, watching over him. When you’re tempted to be anxious and afraid, you need to remind yourself, “The Lord is my Shepherd. He guards my way, protects me from evil, and will take me through safely.”

David ended the psalm by saying, “Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life.” He encourages us that after every dark valley, a “surely” is coming—surely healing is coming, surely greater is coming, surely new levels are coming. God is saying, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and uphold you with My victorious right hand” (Isaiah 41:10). No matter what you face, your best days are still in front of you, so keep moving forward. Hallelujah

Prayer for Tonight
“Father, thank You that You are my Good Shepherd in every situation, protecting me, guiding me, and changing me. Thank You that I can rest in You, knowing You will strengthen and uphold me. Help me to always have this surely mentality that leads to victory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Theme: Come and See

Scripture: John 1:46
"And Nathanael said to him, ‘Can anything good come out of Nazareth?’ Philip said to him, ‘Come and see.’"

Beloved in Christ, the phrase “Come and see” is a divine invitation to witness the transforming power of God. What was once despised, rejected, or considered impossible becomes a testimony of His glory, like.

- Marriage testimony: The one once deemed unfit for marriage is now settled in a godly home, radiating joy and stability.
- Fruitfulness testimony: The one who was barren now rejoices as a parent of twins, proving that God makes the impossible possible.
- Employment testimony: The one who was jobless now sits as a boss, showing that promotion comes from the Lord.
- Transformation testimony: The one who was called useless now shines with dignity, favor, and beauty, because God restores worth.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ as the Psalmist records in Psalm 126:3
"The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy."

When God steps into your story, He rewrites it with glory. Your life becomes a living testimony that causes others to marvel and declare, “Come and see what the Lord has done!” Every setback is a setup for a divine comeback.

Your enemies will soon call one another, saying, “Come and see what the Lord has done in your life.” When God lifts you, even those who doubted, mocked, or opposed you will be compelled to testify of His goodness. The tables will turn, and your life will become a living witness of His power. Hallelujah

Prayer for Tonight
“Father, I thank You for the testimonies You are birthing in my life. May my transformation cause many to say, ‘Come and see the goodness of the Lord.’ Use my story to glorify Your Name and draw others to Christ. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
