As you go about your day today...

You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11, NKJV

Sometimes we get up in the morning and think, I don’t feel like reading my Bible today. I’m too tired to pray. But once you develop the habit and see the benefit of how you feel refreshed and restored, make better decisions, and have God’s favor, you’ll think, I can’t afford not to do this. Spending time with God is that vital to living a victorious life.

The Scripture says that in God’s presence there is fullness of joy, fullness of peace, fullness of victory. That’s where you’re refreshed and restored. Take time to invest in your spiritual well-being by sitting quietly in God’s presence, praying and reading your Bible. When you get alone with God, the rest of your day will go much better. All through the day, meditate on God’s promises. Put on some good praise music. Put God first and you won’t be able to contain all the good things He will bring across your path.

Have a fruitful day!

“Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut.” Revelation 3:8, ESV

Today's Word: It’s easy to lock doors to areas of our lives because of fear, because we think we don’t have the talent or qualifications, because of hurts, or because of mistakes we’ve made, times we’ve failed. You may have gone years with a locked door, thinking it could never happen. Your time is coming. You may have shut the door, but God is about to come through it. Don’t be surprised when doors open that you tried to keep closed. He’s going to present you with opportunities that seem way over your head. Don’t shrink back. You are well able. The fear may not leave, but you’re going to feel a new confidence, a new boldness—that’s the Most High God breathing in your direction. He’s about to take you where you could never go on your own. Those doors you closed didn’t stop your destiny. God knows what’s in you. He knows what you’re capable of. He’s not going to let fear or the negative things people have spoken over you hold you back. He’s about to do something better than you imagined.

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:25

It’s easy to do life on our own and think we don’t need any help. But you won’t reach your highest potential by yourself. God has ordained people to help strengthen you, to encourage you, to push you toward your purpose. Over thirty times in the Scripture, it says “one another.” “Love one another, encourage one another, serve one another, comfort one another.” You need others around you. Don’t isolate yourself and think, “Well, I’m strong enough. I’m tough enough. I’m talented enough.” You may be for what you have in mind, but not for what God has in mind. He has something bigger, something more rewarding, that you can’t do by yourself.
Are you flying solo? Or do you have a community of faith? Are people flying with you, watching over you, encouraging you, inspiring you? There’s power in connectivity. Others’ faith makes you stronger. Their praise helps you fight your battles. Their joy gives you joy. It’s not only refueling you, but your faith is helping others. You won’t become all you were created to be without the right people around you.

The first step is to quit trying to figure everything out. There may not be a way in the natural, but that’s okay. God can do what men can’t do. Think about the children of Israel. When they left Egypt, there were two million of them. Then, Pharaoh came chasing after them, and when they came to a dead end at the Red Sea, it looked like it was over. They couldn’t see a way out, but that didn’t mean there wasn’t a way. God simply parted the Red Sea, and they went through on dry ground.

It’s easy to get discouraged when things don’t go your way. Maybe you aren’t getting out of debt as fast as you wanted. Or, you’re experiencing some challenges in your health or relationships. We have to be careful not to give up just because it hasn’t happened on our timetable. Remember, we serve a supernatural God. His ways are higher than our ways. When we believe, all things become possible!
