SUNDAY SERMON | THE POWER OF OBEDIENCE

Today, Elder Nathan Kondowe reminded us that obedience is not merely following instructions.it is a demonstration of faith, love, and agreement with God.

From Isaiah 1:16–20, Genesis 6:14 and 1 Chronicles 28:9, we learned that God’s promises are connected to our willingness to trust Him and act according to His Word.

Key lessons from today’s message:
• An obedient man is a man covered by covenant.
• Obedience is agreeing and abiding by what God has said.
• Those who act in faith please God.
• Where you are is influenced by the faith you have in God and your response to His instructions.
• You will only thrive in the area God has given you when you are willing and obedient.
• Worship without obedience is impossible, because obedience is an expression of love for God.

Isaiah 1:19: “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.”

Today’s message is a reminder that God is not only looking for hearers of His Word, but people who are willing to trust Him enough to obey.

A good name can give you access to high places that money cannot buy. Your character, integrity, and reputation can open doors, build trust, and create opportunities.

Protect your name. Build your character. Let your life speak for you. A good name is an inheritance worth protecting.

Deuteronomy 28:13

“And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.”

God has not called us to live beneath His purpose. He has called us to rise, walk in obedience, and become all He has ordained us to be.

Head, not tail. Above, not beneath. His Word is our foundation. 🙏🏾

“Since God has revealed the meaning of the dreams to you, clearly no one else is as intelligent or wise as you are.” Genesis 41:39

Godly wisdom must produce skill. Wisdom must be demonstrated, not just declared, and when crisis comes, character becomes your currency.

Joseph didn’t just speak wisely his wisdom was evident in his discernment, ability, integrity, and action.

A wise disciple doesn’t only know what God says; they live it, apply it, and become trustworthy with what God places in their hands.

Wisdom speaks. Character proves it. Skill demonstrates it.
