Choose Right Companions Wisely!

He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips. Proverbs 20:19 KJV

Scripture tells us that bad company ruins good character (1 Corinthians 15:33). If you want to discipline your mouth and speak only what glorifies God, you must also be wise in choosing who you spend time with daily! As the opening scripture reminds us, it is best to stay away from those who gossip and from people who love to speak ill of others!

Beloved, if you want to be used by God powerfully, the people you are with can greatly impact your destiny and calling in Christ. Choose to spend time with those who are passionate about God’s Kingdom and those who are kind and patient and produce the fruit of the Spirit. Who you spend your time with, you become (Proverbs 13:20)! Choose wisely!

Prayer point: Abba Father, thank You for godly friends and company that influence me to be a better person in Christ Jesus. As I discipline my tongue to speak only things that glorify You, thank You for friends who speak nothing but Your love, guidance, principles, and wisdom in Your Word. I dedicate my lips for Your glory; may my words be effective and powerful in Jesus’ name! Amen.
