Psalm 23:, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

The Lord is your shepherd simply means the Lord takes personal responsibility for your life, He takes personal interest in your affairs, He takes personal ownership of your destiny.

A shepherd does not abandon his sheep, a shepherd does not neglect his flock, a shepherd does not forget his lambs.
John 10:11 says I am the good shepherd.
The good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Jesus is your shepherd. And if Jesus is your shepherd then you are not alone. You are not abandoned, you are not forgotten.
Because the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
I shall not want simply means you shall not lack, you shall not be in needy.
Child of God, be at peace for the Lord is with you. Worry not!!
