Scripture Union upholds the truths of Christianity as revealed by God in Holy Scripture including:
1. The unity of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
2. The sovereignty of God in creation, providence, revelation redemption and final judgment.
3. The divine inspiration and the entire trustworthiness and unity of Holy Scripture and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
4. The sinfulness and guilt of all people since the Fall rendering them subject to God's wrath and condemnation.
5. Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin solely through the sacrificial death, as our representative and substitute, of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.
6. The bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead, and His ascension to the right hand of God the Father.
7. The necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit to make the death of Christ effective to the individual sinner, granting repentance towards God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
8. The justification of the sinner by the grace of God through faith in Christ alone.
9. The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.
10. The one holy, universal Church, which is the Body of Christ, and to which all true believers belong.
11. The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

TUESDAY TEA DEVOTIONAL
25th AUGUST, 2026
with REV'D. KASENGE CHAMBANENGE

GOD OF PEACE
(Ephesians 2:14-17, 4:3, 6:15)

3 KEY POINTS

1. CHRIST IS OUR PEACE — _Eph 2:14_
Jesus tore down the wall of hostility. Our peace with God comes first, then peace with each other.
2. PEACE UNITES US — _Eph 4:3_
We are called to “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Different tribes, one body.
3. PEACE EQUIPS US — _Eph 6:15_
The “gospel of peace” are shoes for our feet. Peace doesn’t make us passive. It sends us to be peacemakers.

WHAT SHALL WE DO ??

1. PRAY FIRST - Ask God for His peace to guard hearts and minds _Phil 4:7_ as we pray for leaders, communities, and elections.
2. BREAK WALLS - Choose forgiveness over offense. Reach across tribe, politics, and church lines. Be a bridge, not a wall.
3. WALK PEACE- Speak life on WhatsApp, in markets, in homes. Let our words carry the gospel of peace.

PRAYER
Lord, You are our peace. Preserve Zambia. Heal divisions. Let Your peace rule in our hearts and harvest unity in our land. Amen.

BE THE LIGHT WHERE YOU ARE

Scripture: “You are the light of the world.” — Matthew 5:14

Our nation does not only need good leaders; it needs good citizens. Zambia needs young people who choose honesty over corruption, kindness over hatred, responsibility over excuses, and unity over division.

But change begins with me and you.

You may think, “What difference can one person make?” Remember, a small light can brighten a dark room.

So wherever you are at school, work, church, home, or in your community, be the light. Let your character speak, let your actions inspire, and let Christ be seen through you.

A better Zambia begins with better choices from each one of us.

PRAYER
Lord, help us to be people of integrity, peace, unity, and love. Bless Zambia and give our nation leaders and citizens who will seek what is right. May our lives bring positive change wherever we are. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have a blessed Tuesday!

A PRAYER FOR ZAMBIA

As our nation prepares to go to the polls and exercise the right to vote, our prayers remain with every citizen across Zambia.

May the Lord grant us wisdom to make the right decisions, guide our leaders, and continue to preserve the unity of our nation.

May peace prevail despite our differences, and may love, respect, and understanding continue to grow in our hearts.

May God bless Zambia and keep our nation united.

THE GREAT COMMISSION
Matthew 28:19-20

Jesus is calling for a FEW to go and make disciples.

"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His field." - Matt 9:37

Christ did His part.
Now He’s left it to YOU and I to GO and make disciples.

Today’s Challenge:
As you go to work, to the market, or even to VOTE...
1. Take a moment to PRAY for our nation
2. Talk to 1 person about the love of Jesus

How many disciples have we made?
How many have we fed with the Word of God?

Let God use you to be one of the FEW.

God bless you

WHY DO SOME PEOPLE FAIL TO RISE?
Matthew 14:22–33

One of the greatest lessons from Peter walking on the water is this: we begin to sink the moment we shift our focus from Christ to the storm.

Fear grows where faith loses focus.

Storms are not meant to destroy us—they are often a test of our faith. When fear overrides faith, we lose confidence in God's promises and begin to make decisions outside His will.

As we journey toward the end of the year, may your eyes remain fixed on Christ, not your circumstances. May your faith always be greater than your fear.

WELCOME TO AUGUST!

A new month of endless possibilities, fresh beginnings, and new opportunities. May this be your best month yet as you walk in God's purpose and grace.

"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" — ISAIAH 43:19

May the Lord guide your steps, strengthen your faith, and open doors that no one can shut.

Happy New Month from Scripture Union Zambia!

UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST

Ephesians 4:3
"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace."

Unity is one of the greatest testimonies of the Church. Although believers come from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, we are united through our faith in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit calls us to preserve this unity through humility, patience, forgiveness, and love.

Unity does not mean everyone is the same; rather, it means working together while appreciating the different gifts God has given each believer. When we choose peace over division and cooperation over competition, we reflect Christ's love to the world.

Satan seeks to divide God's people because he knows that a divided Church loses its effectiveness. Therefore, we must intentionally pursue reconciliation, encourage one another, and pray for unity within our families, churches, and communities. United believers become powerful instruments through whom God accomplishes His purposes. In Jesus' name. Anen.

Prayer:
Lord, make me a peacemaker. Help me promote unity, forgiveness, and love wherever You have placed me.

Declaration:
I pursue unity and peace with fellow believers.
