John 10vs11-14
11. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
12. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.
13. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep.
14. I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.
Many leaders pretend to stand with the people they lead in their good times but when there are challenges they are nowhere.
Such are the ones Christ says are hireling. Such people do not care about the people in their circle, they always want to be the ones at the receiving end.
A good shepherd gives his life for his sheep, so ought to be the leader in any circle, any leader ought to exhibit some level of sacrifice.
One who stays closer to the people when they have challenges will know the people well and the people will know him well.
As a leader be selfless, always look for others goodness and stay closer to those in your circle so that they may know you and your voice. Then they will follow you.
Leadership is not a choice but a calling.
Church of Christ where the truth speaks.
