WHEN GOD TURNS LITTLE INTO MUCH
“Then He said to them, ‘Give them something to eat.’ But they said, ‘We have no more than five loaves and two fish…’” (Luke 9:13, NKJV).
The disciples faced an impossible situation, thousands of hungry people, and only a boy’s small meal. Yet in the hands of Jesus, the little became more than enough. He blessed the bread, broke it, and distributed it until every person was satisfied, with baskets of leftovers.
How often do we feel like the disciples? Our resources seem too small, our strength too weak, and our faith too fragile. But when surrendered to Christ, little becomes much. Ellen G. White reminds us, “In Christ is life, original, unborrowed, underived… He that hath the Son hath life” (The Desire of Ages, p. 530). True abundance does not begin with what we hold in our hands, but with who holds us in His hands.
Friend, you may feel that your prayer is too weak, your offering too small, or your efforts too ordinary. But remember, Christ delights to multiply the little that is wholly given to Him. He is not asking for what you do not have, He asks only for what you have. Place your life, talents, and resources into His hands, and watch Him bring forth blessings beyond your imagination.
As you step into this new week, may you trust God with your “five loaves and two fish.” He is still the same Jesus who satisfies the hungry and fills the empty.
May the Lord bless you richly and keep you always in His grace.
