The bible reveals Christ to us,
in all history, in all the stories and in all of the statements.
That is why Jesus is referred to as the Word of God

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

So the word is a person, not the bible
The bible speaks of that of that person
You can know the bible, read the bible, quote the bible and not receive the word

Jesus said this the to the Pharisees
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
John 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

So the word is a person
Why is, Jesus called the word of God??
Coz Jesus is the will of God; He is the mind of God
How do you know that God doesn’t want you sick, poor or condemned??
Because Jesus healed the sick, helped the poor, and exonerated those whom society condemned
Because Jesus is the mind of God, the thinking pattern of God.
How do I know God wants the whole world saved? Because Jesus died for the whole world
The scriptures speak of Him

What God can do and what God cannot do are clearly know in Christ
Jesus is the sovereignty of God.
The bible is Christocentric… it is centered around the person of Jesus

If your study of the bible does not involve 100% the revelation of Jesus, you are in to personal opinions…

Earthly Jerusalem or heavenly Jerusalem.
Which ever is your focus shows your true theology .
One requires a visit ,the other the new birth .

One was planted by an earthly king ,the other the blood of the lamb .

All the Old Testament patriarchs including those who never knew of the earthly looked forward to the heavenly one and are there now .

Don’t get bored quickly of Spiritual realities ,stay in there .

MONEY ANSWERS ALL THINGS

Eccl 10:19 A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things

Does money answer all things?

Is that what this verse saying?

As a rule of Bible interpretation, you must never take the word ALL literarily and give it an omnibus application

All things cannot be all things but must be seen in the context of all that is stated in the text

So let's look at our text again

What are the all things that money answers?

A feast is made for laughter,

and wine makes merry or cheerful

He said if you want to have laughter you could have a feast and you'll have laughter

And if you want to be merry, wine can give you that

And that money answers both.

That is, money will give you a feast for laughter and wine for merriment

So the all things that money will answer are a feast, laughter, wine and merriment

Notice that 'things' is actually italicised in the text. Meaning it was never there in the first place.

Hence the original text actually states

A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all

This would have been a much better translation.

So money doesn't answer all things

A stroll down the nearest hospital will confirm that. There are rich folks there whose money has become useless in healing them.

So always endeavour to read in context.

GRACE is not found in Months and years etc.

Jesus is the embodiment and the definition of the GRACE of God.

Joh 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

The moment Jesus showed up, GRACE came.
When you are in Christ, you are in GRACE.

ALL Months are months of GRACE for you.
Don’t be superstitious lest you become an idol worshipper…

The word grace in the Hebrew or Greek is not a five letter word and FIVE is NOT a number of GRACE...

So stop attaching unnecessary meanings to years, months and days. Stay with the truth

JESUS is the explanation of ALL things

No single believer in the Old Testament books had his sin or weakness spoken of in the epistles .

Not even solomons idolatry !

The writer of Hebrews puts it this way

Hebrews 9:15 KJV
[15] And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

God kept the Promise He gave via Jeremiah

Jeremiah 31:34.......for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

So build your sermons concerning Old Testament characters on Gods promise ..

What ever is not remembered in the epistles can't be the subject of your sermon.

You have heard...🙌🏽🙏😂
