Faith in Christ isn't the same thing as faith in yourself ..

We have so learnt in Christ not to believe in ourselves but in Him alone..

Believing in Yourself sounds great to the flesh but it isn't in the Spirit of Christ ..

Paul called him Lord, Jesus called Jesus,Jesus

Great is the Lord in whom we have the victory

He aids us against the enemy..

No weapon formed against us shall prosper..

We are established in righteousness and far from fear and oppression.

He delivered, delivers and will yet deliver us..

A few thoughts about the ‘Narrow way’

Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Jesus uses figurative language to talk about Himself
The strait gate and narrow way aren’t gates and roads literally
He isn’t referring to duo carriage ways either
Jesus is talking about Himself
He is that narrow way to eternal life
Why narrow? Because He is the ONLY way
Others are wide and broad and they lead to destruction

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The moment you miss Jesus, you have missed God
That is very narrow!
He uses absolute terms ‘I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE’

An alternative is wide and broad to destruction
In the wisdom of God, He has decided to save ONLY in CHRIST
So, its narrow because its only in Christ
Paul puts it the way

1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

That’s how it is achieved… by the foolishness of preaching
