Good evening.
Here is an excerpt from Todays SERVICE:
GROWING IN KNOWING GOD.
Everyone can claim to know God. Yet, the knowledge of God is evident through some distinct biblically defined indicators.
My father Apostle Guti in his book TWO WAYS OF KNOWING GOD, says you can know God through:-
1. Information from materials and other people.
2. Divine Revelation.
When you know God through the former, you may loose grip on your faith because your roots may not be so deep without a supernatural aspect.
When you know God through the later, you are bound to a particular life and destiny powered by the seed sown in your spirit. You are fuelled to push through all obstacles to establish a seasoned relationship with your loving God.
Some of the indicators that a person knows God are:-
1. A LIVING Prayer life. Putting value on prayer as an individual. Pricing prayer above murmuring, criticizing and mental wrestling and flexing of ideologies.
Not talking about prayer but actually praying. If you can't pray, you don't have a relationship with Him. Lk.18:1-
2. A Life of MINISTERING. When you are able to spend yourself and yours for the bettering of life conditions of others. Rom. 12:6-8. Everything we have is from God. If we realise that, we know how to spend it.
3. Faithfulness & Honesty. These are irreplaceable components of a sound relationship with God..Heb. 11:6
In giving to God and people, be faithful and honest. Let it come from your hear. 2Cor.9:6
