Lesson drawn
1. Even in times of uncertainty, Christ is exalted. Isaiah reminds us that despite King Uzziah's death, he saw the King of Kings reign. Physically, the throne seat was empty, but there is a seat that is occupied. We are living in a world of uncertainty, that is, the world Isaiah has written in chapter 6. He recognises that Yaweh is still sitting on the throne.
Rev. 4 vs. 6
Psalm 27 vs. 1-5
Habak 3 vs. 17-18
Isaiah 46 vs. 10
Daniel 4 vs. 35
2. The living and exalted King has authority.
God has absolute control and does that which He wills.
Romans 8 vs. 35
3. The exalted King is Holy and should be honoured.
Isaiah's repetition of the word "Holy, Holy, Holy" tells that there is none like God, nor is He like any of us. It puts Him in His Godliness.
1 Samuel 2 vs. 2
In conclusion: This gives us Christian confidence that God can never mean evil to us in any way or the other. Because is Holy, good is coming to and for us.
Psalms 34 vs. 1-3
