"One-Day Christians"
The world looks at Christians differently and holds them up to a higher standard. After all, the meaning of the word “Christian” is to be “Christ-like,” and even atheists know that Christians are supposed to be loving, kind, and thoughtful. It’s one thing to say you’re a follower of Christ, but it is your daily actions that prove it. When non-believers see a “professed Christian” act selfish, mean, or rude, instead of drawing others “to Christ,” it drives them farther away! The Bible says in Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” To be a Christian is to be connected with Christ and to do His will. It’s not about what we want to do, but what God wants us to do! If there is one thing that hurts Christianity more than anything else, it’s people who profess to be Christians yet are just going through the motions. In other words, being hypocrites! They may go to church, and even be a leader in the church, but if they are not filled with the Holy Spirit and are simple “one-day Christians” who only “act” like Christians once a week at church, it is all for nothing, and in fact, God will say He never knew them! Ask God to come into your heart and life, striving every day to be more like Jesus and don’t forget to let God lead! Text: Micah 6:8, Psalm 25:9, Romans 14:8
Bible Texts:
Micah 6:8 NKJV - "He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?"

Amen
