GET UNDERSTANDING 💪🏻👇🏻
Sometimes in life, when you do good for people, do not expect them to repay you with good. Not everyone understands or values what is done for them. In fact, some will respond to your kindness with betrayal.
The Bible shows us this reality. Paul the Apostle performed miracles, yet he was stoned and left for dead. This is a reminder that doing good does not always guarantee appreciation.
There are people who will benefit from you for years, but the moment you say, “I don’t have,” they forget everything you have ever done. Suddenly, you become their enemy. Ironically, they will even go on their social platforms saying, “Don’t trust people.”
But here is the wisdom many ignore: doing good does not mean having no boundaries.
Boundaries are not a sign of wickedness, they are a sign of wisdom. You can have a good heart and still say no. You can be generous and still protect your peace. Not everyone should have unlimited access to you, your time, your resources, or your emotions.
Even God sets boundaries. Even Jesus Christ withdrew from crowds, limited access, and did not entrust Himself to everyone.
When you lack boundaries, People take advantage of your kindness. Familiarity breeds disrespect. Your value is diminished in their eyes.
When you establish boundaries, You protect your calling. You preserve your strength. You teach people how to treat you.
The truth is, some battles are not about what you did wrong, but about the nature of people who cannot discern or appreciate good.
That is why we must anchor our hearts in God and not in human validation.
Psalm 41:9:
“Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me.”
Stay faithful. Keep doing good. But walk in wisdom. Let your heart remain pure, but let your boundaries remain strong.
Your reward is from God, not from men.
