APOSTLE CHRISTOPHER KALUMA VISITS MALUMA CONGREGATION FOR THE DIVINE SERVICE - KALOMO SOUTH RECTOR DISTRICT.

BENEFITING FROM THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Text read: John 7:38-39
"He who believes in me , as the scriptures has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water". But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, who those believing in him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Message: Our faith in Jesus Christ allows us to benefit from the activity of the Holy Spirit.

Introduction
In the bible, the water symbolises eternal life and fellowship with God. A "thirsty" soul is someone who suffers from being separated from God.
Here Jesus used the image of water to speak about Holy Spirit.

Summary
The Apostle admonished the congregation that:
- Jesus specifies that only those who believe in him will be able to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
- We can only be cleansed, strengthened, and prepared by the Holy Spirit if we truly believe in Jesus Christ.
- To have true faith in Jesus Christ means not to doubt in that which we do not see. (Hebrews 11.1)
- We must commit ourselves to Christ and consistently live in accordance with the gospel.

The Apostle also reminded the members that:
- Let us listen to the preached gospel and put in practice and partaking of the Holy Communion to prevent our faith in Christ from weakening.
- Through the Spirit, we can help others.

*KALOMO APOSTLE AREA SISTERS’ FELLOWSHIP - 2023*
Kalomo Apostle Area hosted the Area Sisters’ Fellowship in Mukwela Church Farm from April 28th to 30th, 2023 where all sisters from the 24 Rector Districts gathered. In this fellowship, three Apostle Areas were also invited (Livingstone, Choma and Monze-Mazabuka Apostle Area ) to support the programme.
It was a thunderous fellowship which attracted over 3000 sisters.

*THE DIVINE SERVICE*
On April, 30th 2023, Apostle Kaluma Christopher conducted a Divine Service in Mukwela Church farm.

Theme: *Being a Missionary*
Message: *The gospel is to reach all people.*

*INTRODUCTION*
After Jesus' meeting with individual people, the risen Son of God appeared to all the disciples together.
Now He no longer focuses His attention on individuals, but on the whole creation, no longer on present, but on the future and the completion of His work.

*SUMMARY*
- After His resurrection, Jesus testified of His power, which is not limited by space or time.
- The Great Commission includes the mandate to lead people closer to God through God's word and Sacraments.

2. DR Jackson Mazimba

During the Divine Service, the Apostle put in retired District Elder Daniel J. Bothma of Kalomo North Rector District who served in the ministry for 37 years.
The Apostle also reinstated District Evangelist Joseph Poipoi of Kasiwe Rector District from his suspension since 2019.
