The Day of Pentecost
you a Witness?
Acts 2:1 KJV
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
The text describes a significant day marked by the complete fulfillment of the Feast of Weeks.
They were all with one accord in one place, and were baptized in the Holy Spirit
What was the promise of Jesus to the Disciples?
Acts 1:4 KJV
And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
Acts 1:5 KJV
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
What was the reason for them to be baptized in the Holy Spirit?
The answer is found in
Acts 1:8 KJV
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
When Jesus states, “ye shall be witnesses unto me” (Acts 1:8b), it refers to someone who testifies based on personal experience, not merely reciting hearsay or reading from Scripture.

Where do we get this understanding of the day of Pentecost?

You shall bring from your settlements two loaves of bread as an elevation offering; each shall be made of two-tenths of a measure of choice flour, baked after leavening, as first fruits to GOD.
From a Jewish perspective, this feast celebrated the wheat harvest, and the first fruits were set aside as they belonged to God.
This was done out of Thanksgiving to God for his goodness.
Tanakh
See how the Jewish Bible uses the word' Elevation Offering.' In the KJV, it is referred to as a 'Wave Offering.'
What is the Elevation offering?
The Hebrew root means to lift, wave, or present upward before God.
The Elevation offering is not God being lowered to our level, but rather we are lifted to God, into His realm and presence, through the Holy Spirit.
What is the sequence of events in Leviticus 23:17?
Step 1: The two loaves, made from dough mixed with leaven.
Step 2: They are baked in fire.
Step 3: Finally, they are lifted before God.
When they are lifted, it means to set apart
This is the season of the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost)
In Acts 2, the disciples pass through the fire of the Spirit, and then they are lifted into witness and mission.
Through the baptism we have been raised up.
Ephesians 2:5-6 ESV
even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved- [6] and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
