THEME: YOU'RE A SUCCESS

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8).

An orange seed may look small and unimpressive, but inside it is the capacity to produce an orange tree that'll in turn produce multiplied fruits with several seeds in them. Everything the orange tree will ever be is already contained in that seed. The seed doesn't need to "become" an orange; it's already one. It only needs the right environment for what's already inside it to manifest.

If that orange seed had a mouth and said, "I'm an orange,"someone might reply, "You don't look like an orange; stop bragging."But the seed isn't lying or bragging; it carries the orange nature; put it in the right environment and see.

That was how I saw myself when I was still a teenager. I found out I was a success forever because the life of God, His seed, was in me, and I started declaring it and went ahead to start holding "Success in Life Seminars. "I would say, "I'm a success, " and some people wondered, "What's he talking about." But I knew.

I wasn't saying it because I had already done everything I wanted to do. I was saying it because I understood what was inside me. That's the life Christ has given us; you're a success going somewhere to happen. Those who don't know you may say you're not but that's because they don't know your real identity. They don't understand the work of God in your life.

You're God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for endless victories, glory and excellence (Ephesians 2:10). His Word says concerning you that whatsoever you do prospers (Psalm 1:3). Stay in the Word and live true to your identity, and what God has put inside you will manifest in every place.

THEME: HE MADE US GREAT AND MADE US KINGS

đź“–And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:2).

Some people struggle with the idea of greatness. They resist it because it sounds excessive or inappropriate. So they say, "Don't talk about me being great; that's too much."But God made us great because we're the seed of Abraham. Our greatness was His idea; we didn't ask for it.

It wasn't Abraham who said, "...O, God, make me great." It was God who said to Abraham, "...I will bless thee, and make thy name great... "(Genesis 12:2). So, as a Christian, when you shrink back from greatness, it's incongruous with your identity and with God's plan for your life. Ponder the fact that God reiterated with unmistakable clarity in Genesis 17:6 what He had said in Genesis 12:2, "And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee " (Genesis 17:6).

Observe that it says, "
Kings shall come out of thee." This is consistent with what the Scripture reveals about us in Christ "... much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ " (Romans 5:17). The literal sense of the word "reign" in the verse above is to "king." It's the verb of kingship.

Therefore, you could say, "They which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall king in life by Jesus Christ." And it gets even stronger. The Bible says He has "...made us kings and priests unto God and his Father..."(Revelation 1:6). Our title as kings isn't futuristic but a present-moment reality. He has made us kings.

What do kings do? They rule and reign. They exercise authority and dominion in their realm. This is why you must never talk like a victim, act helpless, or see yourself as ordinary. You're great, and you're a king. The Bible says, "Where the word of a king is, there is power..." (Ecclesiastes 8:4). Kings don't beg or grovel; they speak with authority. They comport themselves with dignity. Kings manifest royalty.

Every so often, say "I know who I am; I'm great, and I'm a king. I reign and rule in life." You're not trying to hype yourself when you say this but merely affirming what God has done, who He's made you. It's your identity; He made you great and made you a king.

THEME: DIVINE AUTHORISATION FOR UNSTOPPABLE GROWTH

đź“–Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end...(Isaiah 9:7).

Once, many years ago, the Lord said to me, "Son, keep growing." Instantly, it registered in my spirit and I understood what He meant; it was a license to grow, a divine authorization to keep making progress without restraint. And that has been my life and my experience; anything I get involved with grows, and the growth is ever- increasing.

For example, this devotional is available in every known language and dialect of the world and distributed in every known nation and territory on earth. This isn't the work of a man. Our Healing Streams programme reaches over 7 billion participants around the world and in every language known to be spoken on earth.

This is somewhat astonishing and a mystery to some people, so they say it can't be real. Well, it's God's work, and when you understand how God works, you'd know He gives different graces as He wills. Also, the Bible says He sets boundaries that men can't pass over (Psalm 104:9).

In other words, there're people whose boundaries, the extent of what they can achieve, have been determined by God. When they reach that measure, they've fulfilled what God assigned to them and God is pleased because they've fulfilled His purpose.

But for some of us, our progress is unstoppable; it's ever-increasing until the Master shows up. The Master Himself is the greatest example of such ever-increasing and limitless growth. The prophecy about Him says, "Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end..." (Isaiah 9:7).

That means His government, His rulership, dominion, and peace, never stops. It keeps spreading until it takes over the whole world. His peace keeps expanding as we declare and enforce it in all nations. Hallelujah.

THEME: CHRIST—THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE

The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? (Matthew 21:42).

We learnt, in our previous study, one of the clearest truths in Scripture: The Lord Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Church. This is not an idea or a mere concept. In Matthew 21:42, He identified Himself as the stone spoken of in prophecy, the One rejected by the builders yet chosen by God to become the head of the corner.

The Apostle Paul, by the Spirit, also stated this plainly in 1 Corinthians 3:11, “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” That settles it. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only true foundation. No other foundation can be laid.

This aligns perfectly with the prophecy of Isaiah: “Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation…” (Isaiah 28:16). God was speaking here about a Person—Christ Jesus, who also quoted the same prophetic words in Psalm 118:22, when He said, “…Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?” (Matthew 21:42).

The rejection of Christ didn’t cancel God’s plan. It fulfilled it. The One they refused became the cornerstone of God’s eternal structure. In Acts chapter 4, the apostles proclaimed this truth boldly and made it unmistakable: “This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner” (Acts 4:11).

This is why the “rock” Jesus spoke of in Matthew 16 is not a revelation, and it’s not Peter. The Scriptures consistently identify Christ as the Rock, the Stone, the Foundation, and the Chief cornerstone. Paul further confirms this in Ephesians 2:20 when he said by the Spirit that we “...are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.”

The stability of the Church is Christ, and those who believe in Him are founded on the Rock, immovable and victorious forever! This is the glory of the Gospel. Hallelujah!

THEME: THE CHURCH IS BUILT ON CHRIST

đź“– And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church..."(Matthew 16:16-18).

Over the years, many have grossly misunderstood the underlined portion of the Scripture above. Some have assumed the "rock" was the revelation Peter gave when he said Jesus was the Christ. Others have even assumed the "rock" was Peter himself. But neither of these is true.

The Lord Jesus was speaking about a Person when He said, "Upon this rock" He was referring to Himself- Christ! In Greek, the distinction becomes even clearer. The Lord Jesus called Peter "Petrus" meaning a stone, but He referred to the foundation as " Petra* meaning a rock, a founding stone.

The Lord is that rock. He wasn't saying, "Upon this 'Petrus'I will build my Church" but "Upon this "Petra" which is Christ the Rock, a foundation, a sure cornerstone: Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation..."(Isaiah 28:16). Christ had already been known in prophetic writings as the Rock.

So, when Peter said "Thou art the Christ" he was declaring that the Lord Jesus was the promised foundation. He was the one spoken of as the sure cornerstone. And the Master responded by revealing the prophetic reality: the Church would be built upon Christ, the Rock, and nothing from hell could prevail against it.

This connects with the prophetic vision in Daniel. Daniel spoke of the stone cut out without hands that struck the image at its feet of iron and clay, and the whole structure collapsed (Daniel 2:34-35). That stone became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

The interpretation was clear "then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth" (Daniel 2:35). That's the mountain of the Lord's house.

The stone is Christ, and that mountain is His everlasting as dominion. The Church is built on Christ, and because the Church stands firm on Him, the gates of hell cannot prevail against it. This is the certainty of our faith. Christ is our Rock; we're established on Him forever.

THEME: USE THE WORD TO JUDGE THE RIGHT COUNSEL

From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day" (Matthew 16:21).

Matthew 16 reveals an important moment between the Lord Jesus and His disciples. After they had been preaching and declaring Him the Christ, the Master began to focus inward, revealing what was to come. He instructed His disciples to keep His identity secret for the time being.

Soon after, He explained that He must go to Jerusalem, suffer many things, be killed, and then raised back to life. Upon hearing all that, Peter did something unbelievable. The Bible says he took the Lord aside "...and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee" (Matthew 16:22).

Think about that; Peter rebuking the Master. The Lord knew it was Satan who spoke through Peter and addressed Satan directly, saying, "...Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men" (Matthew 16:23).

Peter, on that occasion, must have been startled, because he wasn't aware it was the devil who put those words in his mouth. It matters who you're speaking for. Only give vent to the things that be of God. Never lend your voice in support of Satan.

It's the reason knowing the Word and having it renew your mind is so important. Let the Word of God dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16). The knowledge of God's Word makes you discerning; you're able to judge good from evil and prove (allow) the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). With the light of God's Word, you're able to judge what's coming from you, what's coming from Satan or what's coming from God.

THEME: CUT OFF SATANIC INFLUENCES

đź“–And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus (Acts 13:6).

Acts 13 gives us a clear picture of how Satan tries to resist the Gospel, especially when it’s about to reach those in positions of leadership. An example is seen in Acts 13:6 when Saul (Paul) and Barnabas went through the Isle of Paphos, preaching the Gospel. The proconsul, Sergius Paulus, whom the Bible describes as “a prudent man,” desired to hear the Word of God and sent for Barnabas and Saul (Acts 13:7). He wanted to know more about Jesus Christ.

But there was someone closely associated with him who wouldn’t let that happen; Acts 13:6-8 the Amplified Classic version reveals it: “When they had passed through the entire island of Cyprus as far as Paphos, they came upon a certain Jewish wizard or sorcerer, a false prophet named Bar-Jesus. He was closely associated with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, who was an intelligent and sensible man of sound understanding; he summoned to him Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the Word of God [concerning salvation in the kingdom of God attained through Christ]. But Elymas the wise man--for that is the translation of his name [which he had given himself]--opposed them, seeking to keep the proconsul from accepting the faith.” He resisted and tried to stop the leader from receiving the Word.

Then the Bible says, “…Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, and said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord” (Acts 13:9-10)? Paul wasn’t speaking by suspicion or emotion; he spoke by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. He called him who he truly was: a child of the devil, an enemy of all righteousness.

Many world leaders have such people around them who distract them from the truth and keep them from hearing the Word of God. This is why we take our stand in prayer to cut off such influences from the leaders of nations. Every so often, in praying for the leaders of nations, governments and institutions of this world, declare that the counsels of the “Elymases” of this world are frustrated and silenced; cut off their influence from the leaders. Pray that all around the world, the hearts of presidents, kings, governors, lawmakers, and decision-makers are open to hear and receive the Word of God and the Gospel is producing results in their lives.

Pray also that the Spirit grants them discernment to recognise deception, and that righteous influences surround them, creating access for the Gospel to be preached, received freely, and spread rapidly all around the world. Hallelujah!

🔊 CONFESSION

The Word of God prevails in the hearts of leaders and decision makers across the nations today. Every satanic influence to resist the Gospel and turn them away from the truth is cut off by the power of the Holy Spirit. God’s wisdom and righteousness dominate the nations, and His truth is established without resistance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

📚 FURTHER STUDY:

1 Timothy 2:1-4 KJV
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; [2] For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. [3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; [4] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Acts 13:6-12 NIV
They traveled through the whole island until they came to Paphos. There they met a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus, [7] who was an attendant of the proconsul, Sergius Paulus. The proconsul, an intelligent man, sent for Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God. [8] But Elymas the sorcerer (for that is what his name means) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul from the faith. [9] Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked straight at Elymas and said, [10] “You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord? [11] Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.” Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand. [12] When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, for he was amazed at the teaching about the Lord.

THEME: GUARD AGAINST DECEPTION

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ (2 Corinthians 11:3).

Genesis chapter 3 exposes a recurring and dangerous pattern of deception that has persisted throughout history. It begins with Eve faithfully recounting to Satan what God had said about the tree of knowledge of good and evil that was in the garden of Eden: “...We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.” (Genesis 3:2-3).

Then Satan responded, “...Ye Shall not surely die” (Genesis 3:4). He contradicted God directly. But it didn’t end there. The next verse reveals something deeper as Satan continues, “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:5).

With that statement, Satan moved from contradicting God to accusing Him of deception. It’s the same thing today; those who are masters of deception accuse others of misinformation. Satan accused God of misinformation. His suggestion was that God knew the “real truth” but withheld it from Adam and Eve. This is the master of deception pretending to tell the truth.

This pattern of satanic manipulation of truth through subtlety echoes in other biblical narratives. For example, in 2 Samuel 13, we see a similar deception at play. The story began with Amnon, the son of King David who developed a lustful obsession for his sister Tamar.

The Septuagint clarified that this was a lust-driven love, not genuine affection. His obsession intensified, and he became sick with longing. The danger emerged when Amnon's friend Jonadab, described as “a very subtle man,” intervened. Jonadab was a cunning advisor who manipulated Amnon into destructive actions that ultimately led to tragedy and death.

You must guard your heart against deception by staying with what God has said in His Word. Refuse Satan’s contradictions and perverted truths. Reject every voice that questions the veracity of God’s Word. When your heart is established in God’s truths, you become unmovable, discerning and protected. You recognise deception for what it is and you remain grounded in the integrity of God’s Word.

THEME: LITTLE CHILDREN, YOUNG MEN AND FATHERS

đź“–I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one... (1 John 2:12-13).

Notice that in the scripture we just read, the Apostle John only associated sin with “little children,” spiritual toddlers. Yet, many speak as though sin is inevitable for everyone, saying, “Everybody sins”; no! The Bible says, “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin (1 John 3:9). Moreover, the Bible describes sin and defines sin from God’s perspective, not man’s perspective. If you look at sin through the eyes of men, you’ll never rise to your best potential in Christ. The earth around us is thick with sin and condemnation. Man became a sinner in nature after his actions of treasonable disobedience.

Romans 5:12 says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” It’s the reason the Lord Jesus came and solved the sin-problem once and for all through His vicarious sacrifice in ourbehalf. As the second Adam, He became sin for us, not a sinner, and therefore paid the full penalty for sin, ridding us of its effects.

Today, being born again, sin has no dominion over you (Romans 6:14). 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath Made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” So, when the Bible says, “Whoever has been born of God does not sin... ” (1 John 3:9 NKJV), it’s because being born of Him, you have His life and nature that doesn’t sin.

That’s the life of the new creation in Christ! What if you sin? While that shows you’re still a child, he already said to the children, “Your sins are forgiven for His Name sake.” But better than that, He also made provision for your automatic cleansing: “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have?fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7 NKJV).

Knowing and walking in the light of God’s Word is the key. It shows you’ve matured spiritually. That’s the life of the fathers: walking in the light of your righteousness—in the light of who you are in Christ—above sin, Satan and the elements of this world. Praise God!

🔊 CONFESSION

I have the life and nature of God in me; I live the higher life in Christ. I walk in strength, victory and righteousness. I walk in the light of my identity and heritage in Christ, above sin, Satan and the elements of this world. Glory
to God!

THEME: IT'S THE SAME ANOINTING

“Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts" (2 Corinthians 1:21-22).

There are differences among us, but they don't cancel the oneness of the Spirit. The differences are in faith, calling, gifts, grace, and office. Our callings are different. Our gifts differ. God gives different graces, and there're different offices, whether evangelist, prophet, or otherwise. Yet, it's the same anointing of the Holy Spirit at work.

When you received the Holy Spirit, you were anointed with the anointing of the Christ. Therefore, you'll never need a greater anointing than the one you received when you received the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 1:21 says, “Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God."

Some think you can be anointed with the Holy Spirit and then later be anointed with power, but it's not true. It is one and the same thing. The language of Paul, like the language of the prophet Isaiah, often uses two expressions for the same reality. So, when the Bible says, for example in Acts 10:38, that God anointed the Lord Jesus with the Holy Ghost and with power, it's not dealing with two separate things.

When you're anointed with the Holy Ghost, you're anointed with power. Acts 1:8, the words of the Master: "...ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you...." He had said in Luke 24:49, referring to the same Holy Ghost experience they were going to have, "...tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." This means the coming of the Holy Ghost is the enduement with power.

When you received the Holy Spirit, you were separated unto Him and consecrated with the anointing of the Christ. He empowered you to do the work of God and to live for Him. He opened your understanding to Kingdom realities and enabled you to walk in the wisdom of God. Oh, the blessedness of being filled with the Holy Ghost!

🔊 PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the anointing of the Holy Spirit that I have received. I walk in the consciousness of the grace and power of the Spirit at work in and through me. I'm empowered to live for you and fulfil your purpose. I function in the power and wisdom of the Spirit for the work of the Kingdom. Through me, your graces and blessings are ministered to others, and your glory is manifested in every place, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

📚 FURTHER STUDY:

1 John 2:20 & 27
[20] But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. [27] But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Romans 8:11 NIV
“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you."

Luke 24:49
“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."

Acts 10:38
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."
