WHAT IS THE CHURCH?

We answered this question last week Sunday in a Serrmon by Pastor Dr Kasanda Mbasela.

📖 WHAT DOES "CHURCH" MEAN?

The word Church comes from the Greek Ekklesia — meaning a gathering of called-out ones.

From the very beginning, the church in the wilderness faced persecution.
The freedoms and privileges we enjoy today are because of the sacrifice of those who came before us.

🏗️ WHAT DID JESUS ESTABLISH?

"You are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." — Matthew 16:17–18

Jesus established a governing body — people pulled out of darkness into His Kingdom.

"He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love." — Colossians 1:13

We are a body in session.
Decisions made here affect the world.
Matthew 18:15–18 — What you bind on earth is bound in heaven.

💪 YOU ARE PART OF AN UNSTOPPABLE FORCE

The church was created to showcase the wisdom of God to the unseen realm.
It is a building of living beings — and the thing Jesus loved enough to die for is the church.

"You have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem." — Hebrews 12:22

🎯 THE 6 P'S: WHY THE CHURCH EXISTS

1. Pastor — 1 Peter 5:2 — "Shepherd the flock of God"
2. Protection — A place of safety and covering
3. Prophecy — The church exists for Jesus to communicate special seasons. Your sure word of prophecy is the Word of God. Receive what's yours!
4. Presence — Times of special refreshment. Acts 3:19 — "Times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord." Psalm 133:1 — "Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!"
5. Praise and Prayer — 1 Peter 2:5 — "Offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God." We bring the sacrifice of praise.
6. Policy Enforcement — To civilize the world with the culture of heaven. Isaiah 2:2 — "The mountain of the Lord's house shall be established on the top of the mountains."

✅ FINAL WORD

We come to church to learn about the Kingdom of God — and the rest of the week, we reflect.
Don't take any meeting casually.

You are part of something eternal. Something unstoppable. Something Jesus died for.

THE NEXT LEVEL CALLED SONSHIP 🔥🙌

"For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God." — Romans 8:19

Manifestation does not mean the thing was not there before — it means to reveal.
It was always there, but it hadn't yet been seen.
There has been a waiting — and now is the time for the manifestation.

This is the sure word of prophecy brought to us by our Man of God.

🎵 1. WORSHIP – THE FIRST THING THAT CHANGES

The first manifestation you will experience is how you worship God.

"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." — John 4:24

· Spirit-led worship
· Spirit-inspired worship sessions

Just because it's a sacrifice doesn't mean it's accepted.
Just because it's a song doesn't mean it's acceptable to the Lord.

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." — Romans 12:1

Every time you refuse to conform to the world, it becomes worship.

In Sonship, your worship must be in spirit and truth.

🗣️ 2. WORDS – THE SECOND THING THAT CHANGES

The next thing that will change about you is your words.

"Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers." — Ephesians 4:29

In our season of Sonship, we need to pay attention to words — both the words you receive and the words you give.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." — Genesis 1:1

First, God talks to you.
Then, you and God speak together.
"The Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!'" — Revelation 22:17

Your words should be consistent with the Spirit of God.

What is God saying about your life, your ministry, your next level?
And when was the last time you said it with God?

In this next level, you will involve your mouth.

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life." — 1 Timothy 6:11–12

"I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your descendants." — Genesis 22:17

For this reason, the sons of God were made manifest — to destroy the works of Satan.

🏆 3. WINNING – THE LAW OF PERSEVERANCE AND PRIORITY

"Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 3:13–14

Two laws for winning:

1. The Law of Perseverance – Forget the former things. Keep going. There is a prize, there is a goal.
2. The Law of Priority – Isaiah 43:19 – "Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth." You need to know what is important.

In a marathon, you don't look back — you press forward toward the goal.

In the next level, expect the unexpected.

THE PHILOSOPHY OF MIRACLES – PART 3 🔥🙌

We continue our deep dive into the miraculous!

🔍 1. WHAT IS A MIRACLE?

Miracles are unusual results.

If you can fully explain it with science or logic — is it really a miracle?

The Hebrew word for miracle is נֵס – Nes.
Each letter paints a picture:

· 💧 Water – What you cannot control
· 🔗 Connection – God bridging heaven and earth
· 👄 Mouth – A spoken word
· ✝️ Covenant – God's promise fulfilled

Key Truth: Miracles point to God.
They should always end in glorifying God.

A miracle is the completion of a spoken word.

"And Jesus answered and said to them, 'Have faith in God... whoever says to this mountain, be removed... he will have whatever he says.'" — Matthew 21:18–22

Miracles are instituted by words. Your voice should be involved!

❓ 2. WHY ARE MIRACLES IMPORTANT?

Miracles are not random. They serve a divine purpose:

1. Miracles reveal the nature of God – Healer, Provider, Deliverer
2. Miracles confirm the Word – Mark 16:20 – "The Lord worked with them and confirmed the word by the signs that followed"
3. Miracles expose sin – They reveal what is not of God and call us to repentance
4. Miracles draw people to salvation – People are drawn to Jesus when they see His power

We need to function in miracles.
The church was never meant to be powerless.

🌟 3. 10 TYPES OF MIRACLES WE EXPLORED

1. Healing Miracles – Matthew 4:23 – Jesus healed every disease and sickness
2. Notable Miracles – Miracles that make people talk. Acts 4:16 – "A notable miracle has been done"
3. Creative Miracles – God creates what didn't exist. New organs, new limbs
4. Provisional Miracles – God provides. 1 Kings 17:15 – The jar of flour and oil that never ran out
5. National Miracles – God intervening for a nation. Exodus – The Red Sea
6. Deliverance Miracles – Freedom from bo***ge, addiction, oppression
7. Unusual Miracles – Acts 19:11 – God did extraordinary miracles through Paul's handkerchiefs
8. Situational Miracles – God turning around jobs, marriages, finances in an instant
9. Salvation Miracle – The greatest miracle: a changed heart
10. Living Miracle – Deuteronomy 34:7 – Moses at 120 years old, "his eyes were not dim, nor his natural force abated"

THE PHILOSOPHY OF MIRACLES – PART 2 🔥🙌
We continue our journey into the miraculous!

❌ MISTAKE: LIMITING GOD

God is not a man.
Human beings have limitations — but God doesn't.

"God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent." — Numbers 23:19

Mistake #2: You might take the limitations of men and put them on God.

Only the Lord can complete you.

"With God all things are possible." — Matthew 19:26

✨ GOD CALLS THINGS INTO EXISTENCE

"He gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did." — Romans 4:17 (paraphrase of Genesis 15:6)

In the realm of God, things already ARE.
God calls things into existence.

All things are possible to him who believes.
There is nothing impossible with God.

⚡ WHAT IS A MIRACLE?

A miracle is an intervention in the natural realm caused by supernatural power.

Decisions are made in the spirit.
Warfare is won first in the spirit.
He who controls the skies controls the earth.

⚠️ WARNING: LYING WONDERS

Even people from the dark side can perform lying wonders.
It looks like a miracle — but it is not from God.

The good news? The rod of God swallows the rod of the enemy.

🎶 PRAISE SHOULD GO FIRST

Why?

Because in the realm of God, all things are possible.
Everything has already happened in God's omnipresent state.

He is the First and the Last.
He sees the end from the beginning.
He already knows how the story ends — and He will bring forth things from the past for your future.

📖 THE SIGNS FOLLOW BELIEVERS

"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." — Mark 16:17–18 (KJV)

🗣️ PERSONAL REFLECTION

"Today I learned that miracles need to be unexplainable — beyond our own capacity. It is an intervention from God that only God can do. God is not a man — we can't expect Him to function the way humans function. We cannot limit Him to human limitations. There are certain levels God will allow us to reach simply as a testimony to a generation. He is showing us what He is capable of doing. And He is the one fighting for us." 🙌

We serve a miraculous God.

When God introduced Himself to Moses, He said:
"I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."

Why? Because their ancestors experienced miracles.
And God proved Himself to Moses, to Israel, and to Egypt — through miracles.

📖 THE FOUNDATION OF CHRISTIANITY IS ON MIRACLES

We believe in:

· The virgin birth — a miracle
· The resurrection — a miracle
· The Holy Spirit sent to make us God's body on earth — a miracle

"And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile." — 1 Corinthians 15:17

Take away miracles, and you take away Christianity.

🗣️ MOSES SAID: SHOW ME

Moses understood:
"If you want to prove I am with You, show it by miracles."

"Jesus of Nazareth was a man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs." — Acts 2:22

You cannot separate God and miracles.

🔥 THE MIRACLES DID NOT END WITH JESUS

"And these signs will follow those who believe..." — Mark 16:16

The moment you receive an instruction, you know God wants to do something.

We are being made into what Jesus is like.
