Benjamin Chimbalanga Katubiya is a seasoned entrepreneur and visionary who has built a diverse business empire, making him a prominent figure in Zambia’s corporate landscape. Starting in 1992 with $300, he founded Marketlinks Agencies, specializing in heavy-duty truck parts, which later evolved into BUK Holdings Limited—a conglomerate with operations in Zambia, DR Congo, and Malawi. The group includes BUK Truck Parts Ltd, BUK Mining and Constructions Ltd, and BUK Transport and Logistics Ltd, employing over 89 people by 2013.
A recipient of multiple awards, including “Best SME of the Year” and Marketing Personality of the Year (2009), his ventures have been internationally recognized, such as BUK Truck Parts Ltd being listed in the Top 15 for the 2010 Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship. He has served as Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Zambia, a Mandela Washington Fellowship mentor, and a board member for various organizations.
He holds a National Diploma in Marketing from Copperbelt University, a Postgraduate Diploma from Salford University, and an MBA from Plymouth University. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Entrepreneurship from Exeed College.
A devoted Christian, author of four books, and family man, he is actively involved in community leadership through the Potter’s House Christian Fellowship. Recognized as Best Entrepreneur of the Year 2022 and nominated for Businessman of the Year 2024, he continues to inspire with over 30 years of business experience, embodying resilience, faith, and transformational leadership.
