"A Thorn in Your Flesh" Touches Hearts in Kabwe

Midlands East Zambia Conference(MEZC), Region A’s Big Sabbath came alive today with worship, fellowship, and a powerful word under the theme of Rooted in Christ.

The day kicked off with a vibrant Sabbath School session, followed by the main service. Youths from MEZC lifted spirits with special songs, setting the tone for what was to come.

The highlight of the day was the sermon by Pastor Angel Chipulu, Youth Director of the Northern Zambia Union Conference(NZUC). Speaking on “A Thorn in Your Flesh” from 2 Corinthians 12:7-9, Pastor Chipulu drew from Paul’s experience to remind us that God’s grace is sufficient even in our hardest seasons.

He shared how Paul, despite his education and intelligence, was given a thorn to keep him humble and dependent on God. Through three daily prayers, Paul learned that God sometimes allows pain to keep us close to Him and deepen our prayer life.

“God did not remove the thorn, and sometimes our lives become thorny too,” Pastor Chipulu noted. “But He teaches us through these lessons to stay close to Him, even when things are not well. And He promises to be with us till the end.”

The service was honored by a special guest appearance from Dr. and Shepherdess Passmore Mulambo, NZUC Publishing Director.

It was a day of reflection, encouragement, and renewed faith for all who attended.

Chipepo Mission Hosts Union Youth Director and Announces AYM Updates

The District Pastor for Chipepo Mission Ps. Chipunza, welcomed the Union Youth Director, the Conference Youth Director, and other conference leaders to the mission this week.

In line with visits to other districts, Ps. Chipulu presented the newly adopted Adventist Youth Ministries policies and updates to those present. Key items covered included the revised mission statement, motto and age range among others.

The official visit to MEZC will conclude tomorrow with a special Big Sabbath service in Region A.

After the visit to Mukonchi, the team Pst. Angel Chipulu, Pst. Chombela, Pst. Chazingwa, Br. Eddie, Sr. Chipo, and Sr. Ketty visited Br. Morris Chibale, Kabwe East Mission District President, seasoned Master Guide, and youth leader, who has been unwell for some time at his home. The team spent time with him, offered words of encouragement, and prayed together for his quick recovery.
