LIVING ABOVE DOCTRINES.

Before we can give answer to how we can live above false doctirines , we must first truly define from the scriptures what a false doctirine is .

Our theme comes from a place where it explains that the purpose of the men of God is to teach us the flock of God the knowledge of who Christ is .
It is from this place we define what a true doctirine is . It is a Doctrine at it's core is knowledge of the person of Jesus . What he did after is death and resurrection .

Having defined a true doctirine it's easy to know that a wind doctirine is ,it is one whose knowledge is not centered on the person of Christ.

But how do live above wind Doctrines ?

Unfortunately there are people who have stayed away from churches because they don't want to be decieved .
While there are places where there's no doctrine of Christ, there are genuine places where Christ is not only taught but is the center of everything.

Staying away from church because you were once decieved brings more deception .

To live above wind doctirines is to stay fixed on the message of Jesus . It's the place where you place premium on just knowing him , nothing else but him alone .

Today find believers who can help you connect to the true doctirine.

*[[Ephesians 4:15]] KJV* But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

SPEAK IN LOVE

When one has received Jesus Christ, it is not that God has changed towards them but actually that they have by the Holy Spirit realised how much God has been in love with them.

The message that showcases the great love of God is the same. That is the same message even those who receive are supposed to share, they are reconciled and made ministers of reconciliation by the same message that revealed to them the length of the love of God. *[[2Corinthians 5:19]] KJV* To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

The message of reconciliation unfolds the miracle and wonderful benefits of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The key then is to understand that this message is witnessed, not simply shared; what blessed your heart is what you let out and this is why it ought to be shared out of the motivation love.

Love is the motivation and drive, it should be for all of us that share. Consistently give yourself over to the love of God and share from that place, speak the truth in love.

OF STRONG HOLDS III : ESTABLISHED IN IDENTITY.

In the series of this devotional it was highlighted how that strong holds are thoughts that one has built over certain things .

Unfortunately some people have created doctrines that have robbed them of there true experience in Christ .
They use there past experiences , situations to define there current life and even determine the future.

This devotional is not aimed to dispute that circumstances will come our way , but the lord has surely assured us that amidst all the circumstances we are more than conquerors .

But how do we get to live above strong holds?

Living above strong holds is not passively allowing thoughts to go into instinction , living above strong holds comes by understanding our identity in Christ. The identity of who we are in Christ doesn't just replace strong holds it manifests itself in us .

A man whose identity in Christ has not been revealed to there spirit can live in condemnation and might think that is who they are and God has ordained it that way .
Unfortunately they even have reasons as to why God must not bless them , they feel they don't deserve good from God because there's a strong hold that has made them captive.

Everytime we sit under the word of God strong holds begin to fall on their own . Because the word of is living, active and a discerner of thoughts. The word of God proples us to see beyond our struggles, limitations, weakness and see the strength of God in us . Praise God .

Today create enough time to feed on the reality of your identity in Christ.

*[[2Corinthians 5:13]] Amp* For if we are beside ourselves [mad, as some say], it is for God and concerns Him; if we are in our right mind, it is for your benefit,
*[[2Corinthians 5:14]] Amp* For the love of Christ controls and urges and impels us, because we are of the opinion and conviction that [if] One died for all, then all died;

A HEART CHECK

When you hear of the wonderful news of what the Lord Jesus has done, you will definitely get to see the extravagant love expressed and the amazing sacrifice offered for us. One of the most outstanding things that one gets to be awakened to when they hear of the gospel of Christ is actually that we have been made witnesses of the very message of reconciliation. *[[2Corinthians 5:19]] KJV* To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

The word of reconciliation is the very message of what Jesus has done and its implication on us, this is the very message that shows us the father's heart and mind expressed through the wonderful sacrifice displayed. The interesting part then is that anyone who truly understands the gospel of Jesus Christ should have their hearts checked as they share the gospel.

This news is shared from a place of witnessing Christ Jesus and not ourselves. We don't speak to witness ourselves but to witness Jesus, to reveal him, his love expressed is the very motivation we have.

The love of God is enough motivation for everything we ought to do concerning the kingdom of God, and it is as well the validation for a successful act. Let your heart be yielded to this love, that it may become the very reason for what you do and how you do what you do in the kingdom of God.

*[[1Timothy 4:14]] KJV* Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
*[[1Timothy 4:15]] KJV* Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

GIVE YOURSELF TO THE WORD

The word of God deserves your attention and this attention is the posture of your heart; be receptive to the word, allow it to correct you and let it have chance to actually change your perspective, if this is not there, that is what the Bible refers to as pride.

Our theme scripture is the Apostle Paul admonishing his son to meditate and apply himself to the doctrine, and his instructions to him and surely telling him that he shall find himself experiencing growth. It is a noble pattern of which we can emulate.

Look at this instruction *[[Proverbs 23:26]] KJV* My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.
The heart being given (yielding) came before the eyes being opened to observe the ways. Learn to decide in your heart to give yourself to the counsel of the word, no one can force the other to do this, being in a place where the word is being shared is the first thing, then after, apply yourself in the manner spoken of above. Your profiting shall surely appear.

OF STRONG HOLD II: SEE BEYOND WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU .

There are people who have built strong holds in there minds in regards to what happened to them .

Here's a brother that argued with a fellow brother . And quite alright he was offended with how the other brother spoke to him . And from that day they no longer even give a simple greeting . They now bypass each other because the one who is offended has a reason not to .

But sometimes we must be careful even when people hurt us , because sometimes these very things that people do to us become strong holds . Some have isolated themselves from people who could have elevated them in the name of " people are the same" .

Certain strong holds can blind you to see God's goodness in people because your mind has been oriented to think people are all the same .

While people might progress everyday in understanding,we must Believe the best of everyone regardless of anything.
You might not frequently talk to them ,but allow yourself to see them from the lens of God's love .
This is a shield on your heart to avoid yourself to fall into the devil's trap of not thinking God can use them .

Today cast down every negative thought over those you are not in good terms with .

Speak good over them, find ways and means of doing them good even without them knowing. This helps you build a healthy thought pattern .

WORK THE WORD II

The word of God is living and yesterday, we looked at how working the word begins with the inward experience before the outer expression. The word has to be given room in one's heart to influence the person.

Our theme scripture is an admonition to be a doer of the word, and sometimes people use the English, "putting into practice" but sometimes that misleads because the root word used by the writer shows that while it speaks of one who does what it says, it is deeply inclined to a poet too; one who authors words.

This alone shows you that part of working the word is allowing what you have embraced in your heart to shape your language, your language streams from your consciousness and this is why what you believe is key because the total sum of what you believe makes up the consciousness. Speak the word!

Get your language from the word, don't be intimidated to speak the word. Speak it forth because it is true.

OF STRONG HOLD : IN THE MIND .

We live in a world that is full of things that try to cause distraction. Every person has atleast gone through something or will go through something that will put them to test .

Unfortunately some people have built doctrines around these circumstances. They now define there lives through what they go through.
One person lost out on one job opportunity or two they now regard themselves as being unlucky, because of a failed past association they now regard themselves as being hated by everyone.

They once Failed a test or an exam , and now think they will never make it in life because everyone else seems to make progress except them.

Beloved of the lord the challenge here is not what we go through it is what the thought pattern that we have built around these situations and they have nownbecome strong holds . We have highly exalted these circumstances above the word of God . What is even more challenging is that if we can find another kind that went through the same issue it becomes the more reason we should not progress .

What then are strong in the context of our scripture?

These are arguments and reasonings by which a disputant endeavours to fortify his opinion and defend it against his opponent.

Today as you go through situations ask yourself, do your thoughts renconcile with the word of God ?
Are you failing to pull because the situation has now become a strong hold.
Cast down every thought that gives you Reason not to make progress

*[[Luke 6:47]] msg* These words I speak to you are not mere additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundation words, words to build a life on.
*[[Luke 6:48]] msg* "If you work the words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who dug deep and laid the foundation of his house on bedrock. When the river burst its banks and crashed against the house, nothing could shake it; it was built to last.
*[[Luke 6:49]] msg* But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life, you are like a dumb carpenter who built a house but skipped the foundation. When the swollen river came crashing in, it collapsed like a house of cards. It was a total loss."

WORK THE WORD

Beloved, our dearest hope to everytime you receive the daily devotionals is that you know that we are not doing it formally, we are sharing with you words to build a life on. The word is powerful!

Our theme scripture is Jesus speaking and he speaks on the power of taking the word to heart. There are people who when they hear working the word think it starts with the outward action and ends there, so when they say, "but I did what the word says" they really mean the outer. The working of the word begins with the allowing the word to take root in your heart. This is why you want to listen to the right message so that you faithfully attend to the word for the ground Jesus spoke of in the parable of the sower is the heart *[[Mark 4:20]] KJV* And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Take the word at heart, don't take in the word to share it, even when you are a preacher, take in the word to live it! Allow the word to define your course of meditation and actions. Allow the word to change your perspective, don't just listen like you are listening to anything that won't mean anything to you, that is how you eventually find yourself acting out the word.

TPT Romans 8:17
And since we are his true children, we qualify to share all his treasures, for indeed, we are heirs of God himself. And since we are joined to Christ, we also inherit all that he is and all that he has. We will experience being co-glorified with him provided that we accept his sufferings as our own.

CO-HEIRS WITH CHRIST II

In the first part of this devotional, we discussed how it is important to understand who Christ is to fully appreciate the weight of what it means that we're co-heirs with Christ.

God's plan of getting us exalted was achieved through Jesus Christ and in the understanding of how Jesus was our representative and how we are identified with him, you get to see that by what he accomplished in his death, burial and resurrection, we were with him in Him and by God's legal system, we inherit all that Jesus in in identity and what he has.

This should tell you that what truly defines you is Jesus Christ and what he did; the full measure of who you are and what you're worth will be seen when you look at Christ. You're free from the limitations of men by this, you're God defined. You're seated with Christ in the place of authority *[[Eph 2:6]] NLT* For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.
So we are not trying to achieve co-heirship, we are already heirs with Christ, he has done it.

See yourself by him, understand who Christ is and what he has accomplished, because it'll help you see who you are and where you are. Being joint heirs means, what defines Jesus is what exactly defines you and his authority, glory and power are now yours too, he has shared it all with you. Think about that!

WHAT DO YOU LISTEN TO : OF SONGS II .

The kind of songs you listen to are as important as the word you listen to.
Songs have a way of painting a picture of who God is . Songs define and express your kind of fellowship you get to have with God .

There are songs that present God to be far from man and man is calling out for God to come down . Such songs express sincerity, but they are not inline with what the word of God says about our relationship with God .

Some songs express and ask questions what can we do for God in order for him not to leave us.
God requires nothing from us for him to remain faithful and committed to us .All he wants is for us to receive all his gifts .

[[Heb 13:5]] niv Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

Any song that has presented God to be a God who is far away and has left , regardless of how nice it sounds it not true and the believer must not sing it .

Here's the wisdom, singing out of remorse is not true worship. True worship must be done in the revelation of who jesus is and his finished work .
