As the sabbath continues, meditate on this

THE LOVE OF GOD ❤️‍🔥

He knew Aaron would make mistakes.
He knew David would fall.
He knew Solomon would turn away.

And yet, He still chose them.

God’s love is not based on who you are. It is based on who He is.

Aaron failed when he made the golden calf, yet God still used him as Israel’s first high priest (Exodus 32:1–6; Exodus 28:1).

David committed adultery and arranged the death of Uriah, yet God called him “a man after my own heart” (2 Samuel 11:1–27; Acts 13:22).

Solomon, despite all his wisdom, eventually turned his heart toward other gods, yet God had chosen him and established his kingdom (1 Kings 11:1–10).

This does not mean sin does not matter. God corrected, disciplined, and confronted them. But their failures did not make God stop being God.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

That is the beauty of God’s love.

He does not love us because we are perfect.
He does not love us because we never fall.
He does not love us because we deserve it.

He loves us because He is love.

“God is love.” 1 John 4:8

When you fall, His grace can lift you.
When you fail, His mercy can restore you.
When you wander, He still calls you back.

Peter denied Jesus three times, yet Jesus restored him and entrusted him with the responsibility of caring for His people (Luke 22:54–62; John 21:15–19).

The prodigal son walked away from his father, but when he returned, his father ran to meet him, embraced him, and celebrated his return (Luke 15:11–24).

That is the heart of God.

“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” Lamentations 3:22–23

So if you feel like you have failed God too many times, remember this:

Your failure is not greater than His grace.
Your past is not greater than His mercy.
Your weakness is not greater than His strength.

Come back to Him.

His love was never based on your perfection. It was always based on His character. ❤️
