*Twelve Choirs from Maranatha mission District Qualify in the campmeeting Music Auditions Held at Maranatha Adventist Church.*

Maranatha Adventist Church successfully hosted the District campmeeting Music Auditions, bringing together 12 choirs from across the district to minister through music presentations consisting of two songs per group.
The auditions were officiated by the Lusaka Conference Music president Elder Chilumbu and Lusaka conference Resource chairperson Elder Muchimba, accompanied by resource personnels Elder Muyamba H and Elder Muunyu M who served as adjudicators for the event.
Following the assessments, 11 choirs successfully attained scores above the required 75% pass mark and officially qualified to sing at 2026 Campmeeting. One choir obtained 70% and was also included on the list appreciating their effort to come through and participate.

In his remarks, Elder Muyamba H commended all participating choirs for their dedication, commitment, and spirit of worship displayed throughout the auditions. He noted that every choir ministered wholeheartedly and emphasized that the purpose of the auditions was to identify choirs that will represent the district during the forthcoming joint campmeeting to be held at kacheta campsite in shorthorn mission District of lusaka conference.
During the adjudication process, several areas requiring improvement were highlighted, including diction, composition, and musical arrangement.
Elder Muunyu M, also provided detailed professional feedback on the performances. Among the common observations raised were challenges related to pitch accuracy, blend and balance, stage presentation, Repeatition of words and interpretation of the message. He further encouraged the choirs by offering practical guidance aimed at improving their future music ministry presentations.
Representing the district music chairperson who is currently unwell, The vice district music chairperson Elder Chabala expressed appreciation to all choirs that participated in the auditions and encouraged them to remain committed to excellence while continuing to use music as a tool for ministry and evangelism.
In closing, Maranatha mission district resource chairpersons Elder Bubala and Br Misheck Tembo expressed appreciation to all the groups that participated in the process and encouraged them to continue working for the Lord while continuing to use music as a tool for ministry and evangelism.
The Twelve qualifying choirs will now intensify preparations for the upcoming Maranatha/shorthorn campmeeting which is starting on 23rd August 2026.
