THINGS PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT FATHERHOOD

Fatherhood is more than a title—it is responsibility, guidance, correction, and covering.

Throughout Scripture, we see the importance of fatherhood and submission. Jesus followed the will of His Father. Joshua served under Moses before leading Israel. Timothy learned under Paul. Elisha faithfully followed Elijah before receiving a double portion.

In a generation that desires positions before preparation, we must remember that wisdom is found in honoring those God has placed over us. You may go further and accomplish greater things, but never forget those who helped shape your journey.

Honor your fathers. Respect your mentors. Value spiritual covering.

Theme: Deliverance from Familiar Altars and Powers

Scripture: Genesis 12:1; Judges 6:24

What is an altar? An altar is a sacred and secret place where communication with spirits takes place.

One can have an altar with God through prayer and communication with Him. In the old days, people carried the Ark of God, which represented His presence. Demons, witches, and wizards also have evil altars where they perform their evil practices.

Therefore, for you to accumulate a blessing from God, you must be separated from powers from your father's side.

There are things that happen in families that can delay blessings and breakthroughs. For example, Abraham's father was an idol worshipper. There can be a witch, a witch doctor, or a shrine in a family that fights a person's destiny.

Nevertheless, do not be afraid. Engage in prayer, break down evil altars, and create an altar for God so that you may experience breakthrough and freedom from the manipulations of the devil.

Four types of altars a believer must have:

1. Your heart – Your heart must be free from envy, bitterness, unforgiveness, and uncleanness. The prayer of a righteous man avails much.

2. Your house – Build an altar through prayer, fasting, and worship. Let your house be a house of prayer.

3. A woman is an altar – A woman carries great spiritual significance. The woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus, and He felt power go out from Him. A woman who seeks God in prayer carries great spiritual strength.

4. Your church is an altar – A church is built on the Word of God and prayer. Many people find it easier to pray and seek God in the church environment. Therefore, believers should attend church consistently and engage in prayer.
