OUTLINE
1. Noah builds an altar to the Lord (vs 20)
2. God's responds favorably to the altar that's been built. (vs 21)
3. God makes a Covenant (Gen 9 vs 9-17)

APPLICATION
1. Noah builds an altar to the Lord
- what is it personally that you can say "I have done this" or "I have built that" or "I am doing this because of what the Lord has done and is doing in my life"

2. God responds favorably to the altar
- Do you believe that God responds well when we do things to please Him?
* When we walk with Him do you believe that there are benefits?

3. God makes a Covenant
- We have a better covenant = when Noah gave the clean sacrifice, similar to Abel's best offering> he was pointing to Jesus Christ.
* Noah was preserved and saved by God. And the things, animals and the people who belonged to him were also blessed.

*Theme* : God is the ultimate source of perfect help.

*Big Idea* because He is both the Creator and Helper, believers can have total confidence in Him during difficult times.

*Key Verse: Psalm 121:2* – "My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth."

*Key Points & Structure:*

*Point 1:* Look to God for Help (vv. 1–2) – Real help does not come from created things or local shrines, but directly from Yahweh, the Creator of heaven and earth.

*Point 2:* God Never Sleeps (vv. 3–4) – Unlike human guards or pagan deities, God is never off duty; He protects His people 24/7 and keeps their feet from slipping.

*Point 3:* Unlimited Protection (vv. 5–6) – God acts as a protective shade and shield against daytime and nighttime dangers; divine protection means trouble cannot destroy you.

*Point 4:* Protection for All of Life (vv. 7–8) – God watches over every aspect of life (coming and going) both now and forever, guaranteeing that ultimate evil cannot sn**ch a believer's soul.

*Conclusion* : Shift your focus away from the size of your problems and anchor your trust in God the Creator.
