The wilderness is not a dwelling place!

The wilderness is a dry and barren land where there is little or no water. After crossing the red sea the Israelites traveled three days in the wilderness of Shur without finding any water. They were thirsty and all their food and water which they carried from Egypt were depleted.

Finally, they found water in Marah but it was bitter and the people could not drink it. Immediately, they began to complain against Moses. So Moses prayed to the Lord who then instructed him to cut a tree and put it into the water which miraculously became palatable.

Whenever our focus is on the needs of the flesh, temptation can easily overcome us. Jesus spent forty days in the wilderness without food, yet, did not complain. Instead, Christ put His flesh under subjection so that He did not surrender to the tricks of the devil (Matthew 4).

Complaining during difficult times will encourage toxic thoughts to develop that can poison your mind. The Tree of Life which is the living Word of God will refresh and cleanse your spirit during the dry spells in your finances or relationships with friends and family.

We limit our capacity to receive

The story of the widow woman in 2 Kings 4. . .as soon as her capacity of jars were used up. . .the oil ceased to flow.

2 Kings 4:6 in the Amplified Bible says:

“When the vessels were all full, she said to her son, Bring me another vessel. And he said to her, There is not a one left. Then the oil stopped multiplying.”

The oil stopped multiplying when she no longer had the capacity to capture it in the jars.

2 Kings 4:7 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Then she came and told the man of God. He said, Go, sell the oil and pay your debt, and you and your sons live on the rest.”

The woman was able to pay all her debts and save her sons from being taken by her creditors. Not only that, but she got her retirement and that of her sons fully funded in one day.

If she had more jars. . .a greater capacity to receive. . .she could gotten other people out of debt as well.

The lack of jars. . .limited the widow woman’s capacity to receive and bless others.

When you expand your capacity to give and receive. . .you enlarge your blessing flow.

As your capacity increases so does the blessing flow in your life

John 5:8
Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

What mat am I holding on to today?

This man was holding on to his mat. It had surely become a treasured possession to him. He slept on it, rested on it, and watched the world pass by on it. He couldn’t have imagined facing the day without it. Jesus tells him to pick it up and walk. When Jesus was finished with the man, he didn’t need the mat anymore. It would take faith to trust Jesus and attempt to walk, but the victory was worth it all. Instead of a mat of hope, this man had the hope of Christ!

What would Jesus have you and I pick up today? What are you holding on to tightly as your only hope?

I think Jesus was telling the man to pick up his mat because he wouldn’t need it anymore. He wouldn’t need a place to beg, to worry, to suffer. He needed no more dependence on a mat. He had found the Healer!

And, I think even today – whatever you are holding on to tighter than your faith, I believe Jesus would say, “Pick up your mat and walk!”

If we aren’t careful our mats can become our hope rather than our hope being in Christ.

Our goal should be to trust Him with we trust in most. We are to allow Him to carry our burdens, strengthen our walk and brighten our future.

Jesus wants to help you – and, the best way He can do this is lead you to trust Him more. Listen for His command to pick up your mat and walk

“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.” Deut. 28:7

The scripture above.. God is promising us deliverance and victory over our enemies.. But one thing that we need to understand is that God's word upon us does not happen in a magical way, but they come into fulfillment upon us according to the way we have positioned ourselves in christ Jesus.

We can have Victory and deliverance if our relationship with God is strong.... Victory and deliverance comes as a result of *Prayer* and A Christian who does not pray is a weak Christian ... Prayer connect us to God and that gives us the assurance that whatsoever we pray for will surely come to pass.......

This Year 2022 God will make you victorious over your enemies if you position yourself in Prayer!!.... And where there is a man to pray, there is a God to answer......... As you position yourself in prayer this Year, May the Lord cause your enemies to be defeated and scattered in the name of Jesus Christ.

THE GREATEST KILLER OF DREAMS IS HASTE..

The Bible says in the book of (ECCLESIASTES 3:1-8),

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose. Whether you weep or roll on the floor, I want you to know that until your time for a miracle is up, you are wasting your time. God works with times and seasons... *Even though the wine at the marriage feast was dry, jesus waited for His time to come before a miracle came forth* ...

Jesus knew that Lazarus was sick, yet He did not panic and rush to his sick bed as lots of people would have done. He waited till His time had come before He went to the city.... Meaning that God will never panic or rush to do a miracle because of your worry, tears or anxiety.

You will understand that at last Lazarus came back to life *He is the Alpha and Omega* .. Your current battles do not move Him.. He knows that despite your current battles, your life will end up in fame and not in shame

Have you been carrying hate in your heart? Are there people you are refusing to forgive? Are you calling yourself a Christian but not acting like a child of God? Don't deceive yourself. Don't go on another day with bitterness and unforgiving spirit.

*Ask to be made more like Jesus.. Ask for a spirit of forgiveness.. Ask for a spirit of love.. Ask for a spirit of peace.. Ask for a spirit of righteousness.. Ask for a spirit of joy.. Ask for grace to forgive to be Christ like..
*
*The Kingdom of God is the righteousness, peace and joy the Holy Spirit gives. Get the kingdom within you and you will receive the grace to forgive others.......
